Ive been playin rainbow 6 since it very first came out back in the day.  I was wondering if it will ever be possible to make your own maps.  PC Gamer got to do it in the very first one, i wont really care what copy of rainbow six you can do it to but is it even possible??

Actually, it is possible (as evidenced by PC Gamer), but from what I know it will not be easy. You would have to first design a good, playable map; that's very difficult in itself. Next you would have to basically make it from scratch, including all the textures and stuff. I don't know much about how R6 maps are made, but I'm sure this is quite involved.
