I wrote my response while Bondo wrote his. While NSync should not burn in Hell hell, they definitely should burn in bad music hell. They have no talent. To believe otherwise is to believe that there is a reason to listen to Britney Spears videos rather than watching them on mute. BTW, I meant everything I said earlier seriously.
On a totally different note, FUCKING GODDAMN SON OF A FUCKING SON OF A BITCH!!! I JUST FOUND OUT AFI WILL BE PLAYING THEIR ONLY DATE OF WARPED TOUR IN FUCKING LA ON FUCKING THURSDAY WHEN I'M FUCKING WORKING AND THIS FUCKING BLOWS ASS. I must find a way to get down to LA. I almost don't care if I lose my job, but I want to go see AFI sooooooooooooooooooo bad.

Ace, don't be jelous of NSYNC just because you can't sing as high as they (and I) can. Also, they do write most of their songs (remember, I know much more about them then you do) so don't slight their talent.

I have a 10 year old brother who likes N'sync, and he also plays nintendo...
scary ain't it bondo
and loth, i know what you mean about shitty moby songs, i wouldn't call all trance "dance music" however you can dance to it. I guess i'm thinking of club music, with alot of female vocals, but yeah, just pm me on aim sometime, and i'll hook you up with the good shit

Well, I would say that I think I'd like your brother but that would likely be borderline illegal

hmmm RS playing music would have to be Fu Manchu, Bongzilla or Zerocharisma...all these bands have mp3s available for download at
www.stonerrock.com
and there are many more bands on that site...
for relaxing I put in some classical or a bit of loungy music...
I also love good electronica..
I dont like anything that you could hear on a radio station, cept for college radio...even there its iffy...
BOWIE IS GOD!!!
you will NEVER find me listening to rap or any of that bellyaching r&b and definately no country!!!

Basically, I'm an all-rounder. I listen to all kinds of music varying from classical to rap. (More rap than classical, but you get the point...).
Just to quote an example, you guys ever heard of Incubus? Take a wild guess.
Anyhow, to tell you the truth, I never even had a single clue they existed until I heard one of their songs; namely 'drive'... it's my favorite song among others.
You see, it's not the people in the band we're after... it's the music itself. That's basically it.

Bondo, what the fuck are you talking about. Yeah they can sing who the fuck cares. They write their own songs, BUT THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND ALL THE SAME. My ass could right better. They are designed to make money and that is their only purpose. Liking them is only further promoting pop culture and shitty music.

hmm, seems i'm very odd, i was (*cries*) a fan of the Smashing Pumpkins.
I still listen to very much different music, the only things i cant stand are Techno/trance/dance, and popular pop (britney spears, etc.)
the bands i like (among others, not exclusively, and alphabetically):
Black Rebel Motorcycle club, Blur, Eminem, Faithless, Guns 'n Roses, Korn, K's Choice, Lenny Kravitz, Limp Bizkit, Manu Chao, Metallica, Moby ?(
), ?Muse, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Queen, REM, Radiohead, Rammstein (currently fan), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Soulfly, System of a Down, The bloodhound gang, the Cranberries, The Offspring, Weird al Yankovic.
theres more, and there are several tracks of artists i dont usually like, that sound good. But i might make my post too long ?

Well, normally I'd figure I'd be mocked for my "old man" musical taste... but since Bondo has already come out of the closet, so to speak... I guess it's safe. (BTW, Bondo also goes to mens figure skating competitions....).
Anyway.... When I study, classical.
Best CD for long trips in the car...... Soundtrack to Conan the Barbarian. Hands down. But not on the freeway... back roads with corners.... trust me. For the freeway it's usually books on CD for me.
Let's see what's in my CD case.... Lots of Barenaked Ladies.... everything ever put out by Toad the Wet Sprocket..... Sarah McLachlan.... Live.... REM.... Counting Crows.... Peter Gabreal.... Queen... Madness.... Mighty Mighty Bosstones.... The Waltons.... The English Beat (yes, I like Ska)... Sublime.... Leonard Cohen.... oh... and some new age classical stuff by Christopher Franke (he was in Tangarine Dream and also did the soundtracks for Babylon 5).
For RS... any Ska will do. It moves fast and gives me a beat.
For chilling on the back deck... anything from Toad to James Taylor... just mellow stuff.

Jezus f'ing Christ! I think I've never seen so many suspension marks in a post before. That's gotta be something special, Grift. Surely it is. Notice I'm not being sarcastic at all (it's hard to tell over the Net, so I might just be lying.).

I've always liked ... over ;
even though I do know the proper use of both... to each his own style.
You'll also notice that I don't pick on Brain for his typing skills or too many others of you out there for your spelling or grammar. ?Mine's nowhere near perfect.
BTW, my current favorite song...
Superman Song
by Crash Test Dummies. Mellow, but it fits in with my world view....?

And Lothario... be careful when you start spouting things like "ejo is the devil." ?There are certain things that are sacred among my cohorts and me, and that is one of them...
::glares with much menace::
Hehe. Hey now, I've got some history with that sentence, too. When I was first starting out in RS on GR, ejo came in to a game and people started yelling that. Scared the living shit out of me, hearing these people who were so much better than me saying that. Besides, ejo and I have put enough bullets into each other by now that I tend to think I'm allowed to use his catchphrase. ; )

Sorry, I must not have been clear. I like trance just fine, and I know the difference between trance and dance. : ) I was saying that I don't like dance music, shit with just a beat with a few notes over it.
w00t, Queen and the Barenaked Ladies. Ahh, musical ability. It makes a band so... musical. I like ska, too. Bosstones (their older stuff) and Reel Big Fish (their older stuff) and the Aquabats ('cause I really enjoy songs about midget pirates).
I don't particularly care for N'Sync (or 99% of pop, for that matter), but I have heard them sing and I know that they have great skill.

I don't see what your point about the figure skating is
. ?I did get my picture taken with Sasha Cohen and Sarah Hughes so booyah (Timothy Goebel snubbed me though).
Brain, it doesn't take getting kicked in the nads at all. ?You just have to sing high when you can as a kid and continue to and you keep the high range. ?I can sing lower as well and don't have a high pitched voice, I just have good vocal range.
