Enough Rapid Bashing

Ok guys, this has gone too far.  We don't need 8 threads of people bad mouthing Rapid.  As of yet he has not been found at fault by the admins to be doing anything wrong (there have been accusations and warnings but never actual offenses) so he certainly shouldn't be treated worse than Romulus.

Yes, he may be serious about his gaming, but he shouldn't be persecuted for it.  I personally play only for fun (which competition can be) but some people get their edge from a higher competitive feel and he should be free to feel like this.

As far as I can tell having only spent maybe 100 hours chatting with Rapid in the B&G in my life, he doesn't insult people unless it is joking or unless he was insulted first.  That is the case on the forums, people bash him, he responds, and then that gives reason for further bashing.

While obviously you will still be free to do so, any further action will seriously affect how I view various poster's character.  Rapid has flaws like everyone else but is no worse.  In the end he is a fun guy if you don't hate him, so I suggest you don't hate him.

well, i agree with you bondo, but in my experience i have been bashed be rapid first before i meade the insult more than a few times

now i dont know if what i said was interpreted as bashing or what, but i think it is long past the time  we all buried the hatchet

Well Bondo, I for one have been insulted by Rapid first on many occasions.  Including the first time I met the guy.  He started the whold conversation by calling me a lying asshole, and I've never met him before.  He has 4 people (including his own) telling him that I did not set up the CB, that it was Matt (the leader of SWAT), and he still says that he knows I did it, and that I know it wasn't allowed.  Wow, talk about someone that isn't in touch with reality.  Even Matt was telling him, but he decided that I was his target.... so be it.

So your experience isn't all inclusive.

Oh, then you can just go to the thread about skill.  I wasn't talking about him, not in the least... yet he jumped in there and started shit.....  I don't care if there is a nice hate between us, he still does his share of starting it.

Also, many people may find his "joking" offensive.  He doesn't care.  That's insulting.

And finally, people here are complaining about how he acts and that he's a flaming asshole... not anything about being kicked.... so what does the admins not finding fault have to do with anything?  I mean, I understand you sticking up for your buddy....  but that just doesn't seem to fit anything.

Either way.  Rapid, like Romulus before him, brings this upon himself.  It was much nicer around here when people weren't bashing him and he wasn't around, because while bitching about an asshole can be a little entertaining, the copy and paste and I'm not going to bother to read your posts Rapid being here is not.

    I don't hate Rapid. I never said anything to that effect, and never meant to imply it. Rather, I am fantastically annoyed by the way he acts, especially his personal Reality Distortion Field: to the best of my knowledge, he has never told the truth about any series of events that he did not like, and precious few that he did like. I honestly don't think he's lying, however. I think his reality is shaped by his desires rather than by what actually happened. ::shrug:: If he told the truth, I would be far more sympathetic to his bitching, since he would have beefs that were actually valid. Anyhow, Rapid just really gets on my nerves, more than almost anyone I've ever met. Notwithstanding, I'm content to live and let live, but that's just not possible with Rapid. Much to my chagrin.

    At any rate, I enjoyed the cathartic quality of the recent Rapid-bashing, but I've got no interest in continuing it beyond this point. I realized that Rapid's Reality Distortion Field makes either trash-talking or pointing out truths about him utterly pointless, since he simply does not perceive anything that is unflattering about himself. ::shrug:: So, I'm done.

Bondo, I think that ppl need someone to bash cause romulus left Gr and the mac. So they look for someone who has fun playing, and who wants to win. And since the old pisses know it all asses start bugging rapid, all the pissy baby whiny noobs, follow.

Actually Loth, as usual, I disagree, In the forums I rarely see things posted by Rapid and when I do there usually things like calling someone who talked crap on him in another thread out to battle. I don't know if I've ever seen Rapid start a thread like the one that Bronto started: "It's not AK, it's just Rapid."

All that I see Rapid doing is defending himself, if you'd just let him be, then things are fine.

I don't think Rapid is that bad guy at all.  At first I didn't like him because his sense of humor to me was somewhat being an ass.  I complained to him and he calmly told me to calm down and to ignore him sometimes cuz it was just his sense of humor and I didn't understand that.  Some of you who don't have real reasons to jump on him shouldn't be.

But on a side note rapid since I'm usually on your side and trying to help you out would you maybe wanna put me on your bl on gr?  I mean you pm me about cb's and last night it was something about 33 taking his tags off by accident.  So I'm just trying to help you out.  Ya think since you can message me you wanna let me message you.

Rapid is A really Nice Guy When I first got a mac typhy toldme about ak and i could tryout. But in about 3 to 4 days i tked rapid like 4 or 5 times so then rapid booted me bevause he thought i tked alot. a little bit later he gave me a second chance and i blew that to and went out Acting like a complete asshole anD Started to rapid Bash but after A while i got to see what rapid was getting And all the shit and i still liked most of ak, i tryed Seeing it from his veiw And saw i was a toatl asshole and desrived it. From what i have seen i dont see him pick fights with people ?he olny Defends him self and his clan.

You both know that most of what Rapid blames me for is completely untrue.  I got pulled into that CB from another game... but Rapid doesn't listen to anyone once he's grabbed onto his delusions.

And you both know that he's turned down CB challenges from me countless times.  I can even dig down in the Battle League and point out a few....

So please, don't tell me that he's just defending his clan.  He's an arrogant child that needs some medication to quiet the voices in his head...

wait, i'm not ripping on him here, i think i have the real reason.

we bash rapid constantly, and by now, i bet rapid(and typhy too) are used to any thread dealing with ak or rapid will have some barb directed at them somewhere

example: i was talking with typhy, remarking that it was odd not seeing ak at or near the top of the bl.(this was a little while ago) typhy instantly whent on the defencive and it took me a few min. to try and talk him down out of this position. i never meant any thing by the comment, i just said it was strange

so there fore i have coe to believe that it is a kneejerk response that  rapid and typhy feel insulted or assume that they have been insulted. after all if i had been constantly bashed like they have, i might react the same way as well.
