Hell, if you can afford it, go with the tiBook on general principles. It'll be useful (that is, it'll run new games) for a lot longer than the iBook. More power is always worth it, if you can afford it. : )

GET A TIBOOK! The TiBook freaking rules! I got the original (still with the shit 16 MB Rage card) and I wouldn't trade it for anything cept a new TiBook. You get a nice G4 processor which will be plenty powerful and be out of date long after the video card, the bus, or anything else. Not to mention is looks hella sweet and you get a badass monitor. In short, TiBook rules, iBook drools.

is "hamburger hill" a answer to the ICT's problem of camping? also, can you crawl and lay down???

Well, you can crawl and you can lay down...and still move around. Moving while laying down is a bitch but it is doable. As for hamburger hill being your answer for camping, the answer is hell no. Grenade launcher toting newbies will blow your ass to pieces...also depending on how you set your server, there are respawns.

If it will be your only computer at school, get the TiPowerbook.  If you'll still have the tower, get the iBook.  I use the iBook, not the Ti, and I can afford the Ti.  I do it because the iBook is truely portable.. I don't want my laptop to not fit on the food tray on the plane.  Seriously though... the iBooks run great, and when I buy a laptop, I want it small.  But if it were my only computer, I'd have the Ti, because there are things the my iBook can't do in the gaming arena (which is the only place I go that it doesn't do just fine).  I do use the iBook for work all the time though.

I guess if you have a tower and want to save some money, an iBook may be a better choice. However, if it's your only computer, the TiBook is far and way your best choice. It truly is a desktop replacement with it's power. As for portability, while it may be a slight step behind the iBook (the most portable laptop in the world), it is still awesome. It's lightweight, very thin, and it's footprint is not much bigger than the iBooks. I have heard from some people it is not as durable as the iBook, but I treat my computer with kid gloves cuz I love it so much, and I have never had any problems. BTW GRIFT, it fits perfectly fine on the airplane tray. Just don't expect to have anything else on there.

PS - If a laptop is your only computer, I would HIGHLY recommend getting a keyboard and mouse to hook up to it. While the TiBook mousepad and the built in keyboard are both the best I have seen on a laptop, no laptop can compare to a real keyboard or mouse.

Actually, a Tibook fits nicely on a Food tray on the plane, I took mine there, Great machine, Nice 800mhz processor, 15.2' monitor, I've used an iBook. They're nice, if you  have a tower too, then an iBook would work, however, if it's your only one, then you've gotta have the tig4
