New Admin

As I urged Ace to lock a thread (impeccable timing, by the way Ace) I realized the sudden occurence of an administration problem.

With the passing of our dear friend and the increasing inactivity of Wrath, we have, essentially, one administrator for the general gossip section.

I may not like Ace much (aww, I lie, I love ya Acey!) but I sure do like his administrative abilities.  However he can't do the job alone, as the General Gossip section is the most visited, most used, and most controversial section.

I propose the addition of a Moderator.  Desicsion, as usual, up to mauti.

Possible candidates?

Assassin, Blackhand, Bondo, Brain, Loudnotes, Precious Roy, or some other halfway active, quarterway sane member of these fine forums.

just a thought.  But as I see, a halfway reasonable suggestion.

Well, we were already in the process of finding a replacement for wrath if it was needed.  So now I suppose that we really do need another and it will probably be Infection.

I realized this same problem too. When Wrath left, I figured Grifter and I could easily handle it by ourselves, so an additional mod was not necessary. After Grifter's passing, it was blatantly obvious that we needed at least one new mod, probably two. I was going to wait a few days to bring it up, but I guess now is as good as ever.

I had a few candidates in my mind for who would be good for the job. I was going to send a couple suggestions to Mauti and see what he thinks.

we had a post on this a long time ago in the damn forums precious, infection has already voulentered and i know that mauti is in the very final stages of making a decision. i.e. he made it, we just dont know about it yet(but i know,but i'm not telling, i told mauti i wouldnt tell).

also mauti isn't 100% shure about what he is going to do with the grifter spot , but i think that there will be3 mods when this is all straightened out

i hop i didnt screw anything up there mauti, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

roy: me a moderator? i doubt it, i don't think ace likes me and mauti thinks i spam too much

haha, Brain, I didn't say I thought you would be a GOOD choice... just a viable option.  I was brainstorming, so it seemed fitting.

I didn't relize you would delete wrath.  Whatever floats Mauti's boat.

I would say that there be four mods, three to do the job, but leave grift up.

I only said that I was retiring from Gameranger and Mauti assumed that I would no longer be interested in that job. As you can see, I am still the mod of the Rogue Spear FAQ area.

Hehe, moderator of the RS FAQ...there's a real job . ?Well, I suppose you'd be fine for the job then, thee of miniscule post count.

But alas, the decision has been made and good choices, so it appears this topic is now closed.

Alright Ass and Infection are the new moderators of the ?GG together with Ace. Infection will probably be a neutral mod and Ass has enough experience as mod of the BL Forum. So I hope this will work out.

If someone needs to be replaced: Brain and precious roy would be the candidates.

Additional note for Inf and Ass: don't delete whole threads only lock them - you can delete single post but also make a note when you have deleted or modified them. I know I don't have to say this but Inf is new so just a quick reminder.

About Grifter: I don't know what to do with him - to modify his name or not well I let it as it is now until I know a better solution.

And Bondo what happened to your moderator-ship?

I would nominate myself as a moderator but I'm online too infrequently.  Of course, I always like having the ability to delete people's excessive smileys, etc.

Loud, I volunterily removed myself as moderator here during the KoS thing back in May of which I don't want to expand on more because it is in the past.

I'd say, Mauti, that you ought to just leave Grift as is.  It's not like leaving his name there will harm anything.  

As for your choices, I approve.  Though I dunno about this "Psycho" character... Assassin's name has the words "Sin" and "Ass" (twice!) hidden in there... rather subervise if you ask me.
