I didn't blame him, but his field goal is the primary reason they didn't win the game.

I wouldn't say that was the primary reason, it was a big one though, the real reason they didn't win, is because they couldn't get the defensive stops when they needed them.

Sorry, New England blows...they lost people to free agency and didnt pick up anyone significant. New England got to the Super Bowl by the "Tuck Rule" bullshit and the crappy special teams of the Steelers (which has been completely overhauled this year). Steelers will have top seed in the AFC, no doubt about it. Killer 3-4 defense will kill any running game and the corners/safeties can handle any passing game. There is a reason why they are the number one defense in the NFL. Couple that with a healthy Bettis, an improving Stewart, and stellar WR's Burress and Mathis and there is no stopping them.

Sure didn't happen in week 1...

Let's see what happened...

Kordell sucked
Mathis didn't play
Bettis is hurt
Kendrell Bell is hurt

and...New England ran off emotion and whipped their ass. One game doesn't mean jackshit considering teh Steelers have been whipped in the season openers that last 3 years and have posted impressive records after. Steelers will be in the superbowl barring a rash of sever injuries.

By that system "Kordell Sucked" I could explain why my Packers lost to the Rams... Yes, it is true that the Steelers are known for loosing on opening day, just though I'd comment on it since you were so Pro Steelers, and anti Patriots.

Well, same, not quite as bad as the New England game, but still, down with the Steelers, up with all their oponents Wink

Does anyone know anything about Trent Dilfer? The seahawks new QB, aparently he is good, but i'm not one to read stats, i just watch the game.
BTW, did anyone see the excellent loose that the seahawks pulled today?
they are just 13 more loses from being the worst team ever  Grin

Trent Dilfer is a shitty quarterback who sucked up the joint in Tampa Bay before they became decent, then he went to Baltimore where he lucked himself to a Super Bowl Championship, but his efforts were so appreciated by Baltimore that they didn't resign him after that season so he arrived in Seattle.  The one good thing that can be said of him is...at least he's better than Matt Hasslebach.

Well, I said it in a different baseball post a few months ago and got mocked for it, but I will say it again....Angels own the Mariners.

As for Washington sports, HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. Jebadiah better hope for Washington and Washington State to get their acts together or that state is worthless in the realm of sports...along with Alaska, Montana, Vermont...you catch my drift.

Assassin, it's really not fair for us to talk shit about other states' sports teams compared to California. It's about as lopsided as USC over CU football.
