I hate to take you all away from your war topics, but I just wanted to let you all become aware that kos again has changed their website to www.killersonspree.com

It has a whole new design thanks to viper and a kos forum (which all of you are welcome to join)

Nice site design, nice graphics, nice forums. I like the quote of the week idea too. This is the second best clan site, after *DAMN. Real sexy.

Doesn't really look like a clan homepage imo but other than that it looks good, and btw, it's spelled fucking February.

It doesn't look like a clan page, more like a blog or a personal news page? It looks too subtle with the colors...

Well still I dunno if thats a good thing or a bad thing. Many times a clan page looks too filled with gaming stuff that nobody reads anything, they just look at the pictures and leave, like a picture book. I think what viper was aiming for in his design was something more professional, something more organized, but still have a clan feeling to it. I personally think it came out awesome Smiley.

I must say that it really is a great site, I like it!! Its something new and fresh and especially like the forums, and that we included our own pics in the roster page.  If you guys take a look at mine I am the left of the 2 guys and that is my real face, my bro kirok made it for me for the kos site, tell me what you think.

Ahahahaha! Looks like I got home just in time. Been looking for another webpage to review. mmmmm.. Grin

Please note, I am veiwing this in OS9, IE 5.1, 1024*768. Not recommmended, but common.

First things first, the intro page. How utterly boring. Could use a little life. Or, if not, removing the extra line of red after the "A mac RS/GhR clan" text.

Second, the home page. Decent layout, easy to understand and pretty much standard. Couple minor graphical glitches, nothing much, but still annoying:

1) Under the "Navigation" header, the drop shadow gets cut off at the edge of the image.
2) Likewise, at the bottom of the swoosh/arc/logo thing there's a little line in what looks like the drop shadow, where it suddenly fades lighter. Also, it could be a bit more defined if you pulled it out from the edge a couple pixels.
3) The curve of the right half of the upper arc is about 1 pixel too low.
4) There's about a quarter inch of border all around the top images. It's a matter of personal taste, but I think making 'em flush up to the edges of the page would look better.
5) Get in the habit of putting an extra return/line space at the end of a new post. Kinda seperates the updates a little.

On the CB's page, it only lists a the most recent, but says you have 60 odd CB's to your credit. List 'em all, perhaps on seperate pages by season.

Screenshots page: Thumbnails are kinda more palm sized images. Perhaps a bit large, might want to think about shrinkin' 'em.

Traitors page: I just think these are so full of shit (Traitors pages in general, that is).

Downloads page: Love it.

Links page: I'd forgot all about that image... As for the page itself, it works.

Overall, pretty good. But then, I say that about most pages. Most of my gripes here were tiny little things that have no bearing on the sites usability. Make sure you keep it updated, especially the quote of the week. I want to see a new one every week. Or else.

I was just on the MP site, and I have one comment.

I was reading some of the roster stats, and there is NO WAY Bucc and Ace are that cool.

Someone correct this "Mischivious" error.

I know that being it's me saying this, you will get more offended as opposed if it was somebody else.

That new layout sucks the big one Ultimo.   Your site looks like a library's website.  So plain and ugly.  Such ugly fonts.  Kinda looks like the MP site, as far as uglyness.

Your old site, had way more style and was WAY sexier.

Bucc, your clan's website is overdone. I know you want to be like Mauti, but it just isn't working.  Your site will never be as popular, or as sexy as Mauti's, so give up now.  You're trying to have forums, but the real forums are the *DAMN Forums.  All other forums are just that.  Just another forum for losers with no lives to spend their lonely time reading and posting.

Clan's website are supposed to inform you of the clan's status, members, and CB record.  Not act as a tutorial on how to play the game.  There's a forum for that, and it's here on the *DAMN Forums.  There are sites for that.  What's funny, is how you guys feel you know so much about GhR, yet didn't even make it in the finals Bucc Shocked

Ultimo, go back to your roots with the website.  This site is truly underdone, and looks very very boring and cheap.  Your Style Points went way way down.  You have talent like Destructo, so you should not be having such a plain site that lacks good graphics.  Use your clan's talent to your advantage Wink

Rapid, your site has no fewer than 6 intro pages now. Need I say more?

MP's site is utilitarian, and their members use the site quite a bit. Hell, even I visit it relatively often. While the design isn't quite up to snuff for flashy-ness, it works.

KoS's site is just plain not flashy. And, come to think of it, looks rather like my librarys website.

Have you thought that maybe I want all those intro pages there?  They're not the end of the world, and quite frankly, I get compliments from EVERYBODY on them Wink  It's just people like yourself that visit my site a lot, that don't care to see the images again.  Too bad I don't care about that. I wanted to be different with my style, and I accomplished that.  While we don't have "Forums" and "Downloads" and "Articles" on the games we play, we don't care!  We don't have time to do all that nonsense!  We rather be playing the games, not talking about them! Grin  

*DAMN has already accomplished the all around Site, and another "*DAMN" really isn't needed from anybody else.  I respect that fact by itself, which is why I won't try and copy all the "extra goodies" Mauti has.  Instead, I rather contribute to it, rather than try and offer the same service Shocked  

There's one to think about to all you wanna-bees Wink (you know who you are, cough*MP*cough) Grin

Rapid, your site demonstrates all to clear why sites with intros need a "skip intro" button. For people who visit it more often, the intros get boring and time consuming. It's not the the images are bad... quite the opposite. Just too many and no way to skip.

And I may have to add a link to your site.. soon as I get around to updating mine.

It's nice that you can't acknowledge the work that Viper put into the site. Thanks for being an ass. Besides....clan sites don't have to be flashy or full of 20 intro pages. As long as it represents the clan and gets the point across....its fine.

Actually, Rapid mocking the MP site makes me feel completely validated in it.  I'm sure it just stings that someone, like Rapid, who is supposed to be creative and into graphic arts, has so little creativity on his own web site.  But, since he thinks his site is great, and hates the MP site, that sure is a golden stamp of approval for me.  

For the rest of you, the credit really goes to the whole MP clan.  They all had part in the site and no one member is any more responsible for it then another.  It really has been a group effort.  And it's not done yet.  Willard is still working on a few more things that I know of, and so am I.  Plus, you never know what someone else may add tomorrow.  

Rapid, don't you need to go hit the streets and blow some crack heads for pocket change or something?  Or do you engage in that simply for the joy of it now?
