KDX 1300 released, improvements over NF

Hello everyone, just wanted to let you know that if you hadn't heard, KDX 1.3 has been released.  It has some new chat features, including voice chat rooms, where everyone in the room connects automatically to everyone else when they join.  No more worrying about an address book or no-ip.com updating correctly.  Also more options of things you can do.

I wrote more about it on the MP Site if you are interested.  But it's a good improvement.

Still find the whole app so much more un user friendly than nf. great thing with nf is its only what you need, nothing extra nothing less -  it could be better but KDX is just to big and bulky for my liking, and pretty damn unfriendly

I actulay find I like KDX better.. less crashes and problems.. and it is just as easy to use (for me anyway)

KDX definitely rocks (for what it is...), but I agree that NF was pretty idiot proof.  I always get errors when connecting to folks that their "Voice Controls Window is Not Open" or something or other.  This was before the update of course, but I hated having to actually open voice shat with someone after I had already connected to them.

Actually, I hate that they bloated out one product (KDX) with other products like Net Fone and RAT, but it's happened.  And if we want the updates that make it more stable, we have to deal with that.

I was having all kinds of problems with NetFone crashing but holding the port so I couldn't just restart it, would have to reboot my machine.  It obviously has a conflict with something on my machine, but I haven't been able to figure out what.

The one nice thing is that my clan uses KDX to bring up the server remotely, so anyone in my clan can bring it up (yeah, ARD could do the same thing), but since they can use KDX to chat, both voice and text, and it's used for controlling the server, it's kinda handy now.

Plus, it comes in handy to stick files like the armpatch, game mods, etc.
