Okay guys, here's your chance if you didn't get in on the first quiz.  If you are the first person to get all of these questions correct and post them here, you get $20 in the mail from ME!  I made the questions a little harder this time since somebody (SNIPE!) got the other quiz in under a day.

Here are the questions:

1.  In America's Army, there is a map called SF CSAR.  What does CSAR stand for?

2.  When the Macintosh SE/30 came out, it was supposed to follow another numbering system.  What was the SE/30 supposed to be called before some "smart" people at Apple decided against it?

3.  On what day did Congress establish the Distinguished Flying Cross, and on what day was it made retroactive to? (these two dates are about 9 years apart)

4.  Who are the only Father and Son to have been Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force?

5.  On the T.V. show ALIAS, who killed Arvin Sloane's wife?

6.  Each year since its re-introduction in 2002, the new Ford Thunderbird has had a Special Edition model.  What was the first Special Edition Thunderbird (for the 2002 Model Year)?

7.  Who did I name my daughter after (hint--she was a famous aviatrix)?

8.  When was NATO's first combat engagement (hint--it was an engagement in air combat....I'm looking for a date here)?

9.  What day was the last P-12 delivered to the Army Air Corps, and how was that very last P-12 different from every other P-12 (it was an F model, by the way)?

10.  Where is the last home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis located?

Okay, now for a $5 bonus question...get this and add $5 to the quiz for $25 total:

Bonus:  What was the world's first military airplane?

Sorry, you are not in my clan.  I think BTs_Crypt has dibs on the next G5 I buy.  lol

Oh, and by the way, if any of these questions are too hard, let me know and I'll try to help out with a hint.

Damn, as much as I'd like to give you the win (as I am paying for most of the server!!!), you have some questions wrong:

3.  The date it was established is right, but the retroactive date is wrong.

5.  Arvin Sloane faked his wife's death earlier in the season, but she was later really killed by someone else.  Who?

8.  Although Kosovo was the first time NATO was used, that is not the date of the first engagement which happened sometime that year.  What is the date the F-16s shot down the Galebs?

9.  Totally wrong.  The last delivery of a P-12 was of an F model.  Give me the date (in 1932, by the way) that the last production P-12 was delivered and how it was different from every other P-12.

Okay, fix those to get a win!

And hey, you didn't even try for the bonus question!

ok # 5 is Dixon

# 8 FEb 28 1994

#3 6th day of April 1917
and #9 Evaluated by the US Navy during 1928 under the designation XF4B-1, this biplane was flown at the Navy Test Center, Anacostia, Maryland; and was also tested by US Army pilots operating from the same airfield. As a result of US Navy evaluation, 27 airplanes were ordered under the designation F4B-1. The first production plane was flown on May 6, 1929, and all aircraft were delivered within less than four months. The Model 102 (P-12) was the designation of the first nine of ten airplanes, generally similar to the XF4B-1, ordered by the US Army as a result of testing at Anacostia. Production of this family of airplanes eventually totaled 586, including several variants. The Boeing Model 235 (F4B-4) used one 550-hp Pratt & Whitney R-1340-16 radial engine, giving this biplane a maximum speed of 188 mph at 6,000 feet, climb to 5,000 feet in 2 minutes 42 seconds, service ceiling of 26,900 feet, and a range of 370 miles. Airplane armament was two 30-caliber fixed forward-firing machine guns.

Only serial number 32-101....the last one built, had a sliding canopy nd that airplane, serial number 32-101 was delivered May 17, 1932 that was the last one delivered

Im still looking for what the first military plane is called

Number 9 is still wrong.

Congratulations go to BTs_Lee.Harvey who gets the $20.  And an extra $5 for getting the bonus question.  And he has decided to donate the money to the BTs AA Server fund so I am extra happy!  Smiley

And I didn't give him the answers (as much as he begged me for them!)!
