While on the topic of censorship, I found it interesting this story was never covered (to my knowledge prove me wrong if you can) by any of the main U.S. news outlets FoxNews, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, yet the China State News, BBC, Japan News, Pakistani News, and numerous other international outlets covered the story.
Pakistan test-fires nuclear-capable missileISLAMABAD, March 9 (Xinhuanet)-- Pakistan test-fired a Shaheen-2 surface-to-surface ballistic missile Tuesday.
A press release from the Army's Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the
"indigenously developed" missile system can carry all types of warheads and the range is up to 2,000 km.
?All the planned technical parameters were successfully validated during the test-fire, said the press release.
A series of nuclear proliferation scandals in the recent past had raised suspicions that Pakistan would roll back its nuclear development, which, as the release put it, was "categorically dismissed" by the missile test.
The release added that the test reflected Pakistan's resolve tomaintain its minimum deterrence.
Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali congratulated all personnel involved in thetest, according to the release.
It also said Pakistan had informed neighboring countries about the test-fire as a confidence building measures.
No detail on the location of the test has been reached so far. Enditem

http://www.paknews.com/flash.php?id=3&date1=2004-03-10In my opinion a military dictatorship such as Pakistan, who gives Nuclear secrets to the Bush dubbed 'axis of evil', is more of a threat to the U.S, than Bin laden, partly because Bin laden is not developing long range nuclear weapons. I just thought it was interesting that this story was repressed in the U.S. media.
