btw. Pyrex, or anyone else for that matter, how did you get it so you could use characters such as "?" and ? in your name?  When I try to use my ? and ?, it says I am trying to use an "Invalid character."

I said this in my other thread but Bigpat and anyone else who cares, you can use all those symbols once you join by going to your profile and changing your name.  You just can't have anything special for your sign-up name (which is your log-in).

Bondo, thats what I have been trying.  When I change my "Name" in the profile to anything that has characters from using the option key, I hit change, and it gives me an error message about "Invalid Characters."

I see, when I signed up * wasn't valid but it works for the name, but I guess the option stuff doesn't work there.  I guess it just goes to show that you shouldn't have such messed up stuff in your name  .

Mauti went over this before, and the reason you cannot have such characters is because it could possibly compromise the security of the forums. I think he made a special exception for the * because of DAMN. Just live with it.
