He do any of you children know if bf: 1942 is going to come out for macs? I played it and it is off the hingies!

The marines are so good they took a jeep into some Iraq village trying to get ambushed, they refueled 6 times and did everything they could to get ambushed. and didn't!
Then the same people take in a army jeep and try not to get ambushed and they do. but the marines kill them all and go home.

I heard something about it coming out for mac, not sure if it was just a rumor. Would be awesome if it did come, great game.

     Snipe, have you ever even played the game? I presume not, since if you had, you would not have specified free multiplayer. The multiplayer in BF1942 is the same system as RS, UT, Q3, GhR, etc. ad nauseum. You buy the game, you connect to somebody's server, you play. Free multiplayer.

The head of Aspyr said in a 8 week old interview that BF 1942 won't come for mac because the PC developers don't want to give away their engine code.

     That's a rather specious reason for refusing a port. It's not as though the porting company finishes the port and then goes, "Ah hahahahaah! The fools have given away their code! Now we make a cheap knockoff of their game and sell it! Ah hahahahahaha!" The porting company signs legal contracts in blood which prevents them from doing anything even remotely harmful with the code.

     So, are the developers just idiots, or is there something else going on?

well i was in stores today and there they were, BHD and Raven Shield only for PC.  I got so pissed i was like, wtf!!!  so yes, i am pissed, i want mac to get up there with PC, so i can enjoy games when they come out!!
