Again Sin - why no sympathy for people who die in war?  Isn't reporting to the world just as noble a death as a firefighter, secret service agent, or other deaths I've mentioned.  Just because they knew they might die doesn't mean their courage should go without recognition.

And as for the whole banned weapons thing - it's really a little silly to me.  Many fertilizers, pesticides, and other medicinal or agricultural products can radiate at high levels; or be easily converted into extremely dangerous weapons.  I don't think you can fault any government for having common chemicals just because they could be changed into weaponry.  If we find actual weapons or radioactive bombs, that is another issue in itself.
