Have either of you read Death or Sandman from DC/Vertigo Comics , was wondering if the comics were any good or if it was just hype ? I know these comics have been out forever , but i never got around to reading any of either title.

Question : What are your back grounds comic wise ?

I started collecting just random comics as a kid , as a teen i started collecting Marvel titles ( Punisher , Ghost Rider , X-Men ) and bought some Image Comics when they first came out. Later i dabbled in DC ( Batman and others ) and collected a few titles from them. During my mid teens i discovered Grendel and Darkhorse Comics and Manga and started collecting those. In my late teens i dumped the corporate garbage (Marvel/DC/Image) and just collected mature and "indie" titles. In my early twenties i got rid of my collection and now i have begun rebuilding.

I've never bought any Sandman comics. I had hair like the main character though.  Grin

As for my comic backround I started with the Punisher and later X-Men and various comics related to the two. I also have almost all the original Image mags my favorite of all being Wetworks. I havn't bought anything in awhile. I am curious as to how much all the stuff I have is worth. Oe of these days I'll have to pick up a price guide.

I personally dont like either of those titles. read a few issues from both and I wasnt too impressed. anyway, I started out with X-men and Spider man then I moved from the whole marvel series except for the Venom series which unfortunately didnt last long....started reading Image. Spawn, Wild C.a.T.s, CyberForce and a list of others. I really dont collect now days...alot of the series I was into got corny in my opinion. I do however still pick up copies of Witch Blade and the Darkness....those two series cross over alot and have a intertwining story that I find to be awesome. check them out if you havent before  Grin
