Exactly right. Anything in moderation is usually cool. Especially when you are using the symbols in their symbolic way... like using alpha and omega to symbolize the begining and end... or using that beta to mean that you are a beta test for the final sniper product...
My own personal opinion is that they just don't have the imagination to come up with an origional name, so they try to make another name look better and unique using all those ASCI characters.
By the way, I've been a white hat for many, many years... and I do know this... 1337 = "script kiddie". If you ever decend through the labyrenth into the shadow world of the real deal and posted somthing like "this is so ???7", you would be laughed off the internet.

yo have to admit, destructo is a pretty original name.
btw, Anarchy, good translation, i knew someone "hip to the scene" would figure it out..lol
