well this is gay, I try and update my opengl and my comp freezes, I try and update my os, and it freezes, I try and install wmv, it freezes...it seems my computer will not let me install or update without freezing up. Anyone here have any clue as to why this is happening? Please reply if you can help me out, thanks all.

Try to boot from your CD and then install the things you want. This isn't a solution for your problem but a possible work around.
