I have to say, that was very cool. It looked professional and well made. The only thing I thought you should have added was some footage of the parked vehicle, and get some good close-ups of all sides of it. That way you can get a better look at it. Other than that, very nice job.

very nice video,
a few of the transitions were really cool, i also liked that you chose Moby - go as the background music.
What are the specs on the car?

The reason why you don't have a close up of the car and specs is that this video shouldn't present the car itself. Hekla Racing also organizes offroad drive trainings and the video should show how you can drive offroad in combination with the HEKLA but the car shouldn't be the main actor.

---------
The specs:

vehiclebase: offroad vehicle with frame and fiberglass body (carbon body)
length x broad x height: 4200 x 1820 x 1730
unloaded weight: 1710 kg permissible
total weight: 2500 kg tank: FIA-ft3 tank, 170 litres (also on 290 L expandable) Consumption: 14,2 L/100km
consumption in competition: 20 - 40 L/100km depending upon area
motorization: V6-Ottomotor in front lengthwise, 117 KW/160 HP
maximum speed: 160 km/h (depending upon tyre)
acceleration: 0-100 km/h in 11,2 s.

Drive: rear propulsion, front axle insertable, air locker rear axle 100% manually, reduction mechanically insertable 2,02:1, disc brakes all around inside ventilated with braking force regulating valve for hectar

Chassis: front: independent suspension, auxiliary spring legs with raid double shock absorbers, adjustable.
rear: inflexible axle with progressive coil springs, raid double shock adsorbers, adjustable, catch volumes.

Body: compound fiberglass body on steel understructure, integrated FIA-rollcage, flipfront, rear flap, kevlar carbon under driving protection, holders for two or four spare wheels, hi-jack and alu traction boards.

Cockpit: electrical connection central (stopable), FIA fire-extinguishing system, digital cockpit indicating instrument with engine monitoring, automatic circuit breaker, tripmaster, electronic compass, GPS, intercom

---------
May you ask why the HEKLA has only 160hp: Well the engine must be very stable for rallye's like Paris-Dakar. The idea behind the HEKLA was low weight and an extreme reliable engine to compare with the huge teams of Mitsubishi and Nissan(Of course HEKLA is also only a very small company and so they can't afford every engine they want - however may he adds a new 4.2l engine soon)

Ok Mauti, here comes an honest critique, brace yourself.

lol, ok, don't.  I just kinda liked saying that.

Honestly, I thought it was a very good piece.  Very very good.  It's easier for me to point out some dislikes, but they were pretty minor, so please don't think I hated it or anything.

First, unlike Jeb, I didn't think the music goes with rally racing.  It was a little sureal feeling with that song to me.  It could be just because I'm American.  The tempo of it was good, but the high, airy vocals had me thinking a peaceful waterfall like Enya, not down and ditry 4x4.  I think the genre of music was a good choice, I just didn't think that song fit it well.  Again, it could be just me.  I would have picked something with deeper, more driving and violent sounds.

Second, when you go to the side by sides is very cool, but can you mix that up, put one side higher then the other.  If you've seen the series 24, you know the shot I'm talking about.  Yours had that feel, except they were right next to eacy other.

Except for the car, that covers everything I thought could be improved.  You had some great camera angles.  Maybe some more footage from down next to the tire looking forward would be cool.  I think the sound transitions were great, hearing the music on the long shots, and the sound of the engine and rocks hitting on the cockpit shots.  Very nice.

BTW, what is that vehicle normally?  Is that a delivery vehicle or European version of the mini-van?  The body style looked very much like a sub pick-up truck here with a cap on it (like a Ford Ranger).  Actually, saying that, I guess maybe that would be a European version of our FUV's.  Kinda like the Ford Maverick (England, not the old one in the US guys).

Thanks for your feedback Bucc. I'll think about it in my next movie.

About the car: the car bases on a NISSAN Terrano I. However my friend replaced everything. The body is a selfmade carbon body. This car has been built for competition and has nothing common with a SUV.

But the best thing would be to visit http://www.hekla.at for all infos. The site is also avaible in english.

Bye,

Mauti

Thanks for the link Mauti.

And keep it up, the movie was great, I only gave the negative feedback because you asked for it, I don't want you to think it wasn't terrific already.
