Win XP issues?

SO I installed Windows XP Professional on a friend's machine yesterday, and of course I hooked him up with RS and all the DTD mods. I noticed some bad lag in the game with the pistol mod on a small map with 30 tangos. I played it on mine (identical machine with Win 98) and it's smooth as glass.

May be an OS thang, although XP is supposed o be smoother, I saw it lagging just going through configuring it at the desktop. My Professional opinion is that it's a buggy OS, but it's got some nice features......

XP seems to have alot of issues with multiple games. although its a great multitasking OS...it takes away from the gaming aspect. it will still allow you to play games of course. but, not as good as they should work. thats just what I've noticed with my friends XP. just some input for ya.
