Since only two teams completed the required 15 cbs for finals, I think that there should be a CB versus =US= and Po to determine a champion.  It can be a single CB, or best for 3 series?  I just think that since we finished 13-3 with a win rate of .81 we deserve a shot at the Title.

This was posted on 12/5/05 as a headline on the DBL website:

We risked our entire season by CB-ing [a] in the final hour of the season, if we lost that CB you guys would of won 1st place.

I can see your frustration with what happened at the end there but I thought it was a great back and forth battle between your clan and ours to see who could maintain 1st place.  Over the years when we were noobs your clan has always dominated ours and others and we learned all the skills and tactics on how to play the game from you guys, I think playing against you guys made us better and it finally came through for us.

Reduce it to 10 instead of 15 cbs. Then you get your 4 clans for the finals.

To Punisher: Just so you won't cry like a little girl, we will still win the main season.

Not that I know much of the GhR community... I basically skipped the whole generation of GhR... but I do know that when it comes to any rules, they can't be changed until the season is completely concluded, including any finals.

Regardless of how important the change is, if DAMN gave into presures it would just go against the entire precedent set for the last 5-10 seasons.

That's true Mysterio but then again, the *DBL league has had more than 4 or 5 active clans participating each season.....

Have you looked at the RvS ladder for all seasons? If Mauti does give in on one issue it will just cause more issues and problems from now on.

I don't play RvS, so I don't really care about RvS, this is a topic about GhR not RvS as shown by the title... I don't see how GhR finals relates to RvS anyways.....

Pun, you won the season, not the championship.  If there are no finals, then no champion is determined. 
No one is trying to take your season icon away. We just want a shot at the championship. Don't you?

If we do not have finals, we are ending (what could be the last GHR season) on a lame note. The same lameness that is killing this league, people not wanting to play.  I just thought we would all like to go out competing, at least those of us that still compete.

They are both in the DBL Rules, a document that cannot be modified until the season is fully over. This rule has been disputed on many issues and always has been enforced. You really need to look at the big picture and not your little championship drive. If you want it so bad, play the next season better and get more people active.

If the rules cant be changed, why were they changed as followed:

"The admins have discussed it and in order for this league to stay as active as possible, we need to allow those clans not meeting the requirement to stay on the ladders. Therefore to sum up - all clans on all ladders may continue to clan battle."

This was a mid season rule change. Was it not???

I do not see why two active clans can't go at it, it's not really our fault that no one else cared to compete as much. We both played and tried to keep this league alive.

Why do non-GHR people even post their opinions here?
I would like an official answer form the DBL, not Mysterio's opinion.

The finals have always been a tournament. If you want to change the entire system in order to accommodate your need to have some form of redemption then you should reassess the thought process. For them to extend deadlines and change such things is hardly a problem for anyone; to change the entire finals system is a whole different matter. Two clans battling isn't a tournament.

Hell, in the last 2 CBs between Po and US, US won; this isn't some kind of injustice. It would take less for you to be defeated in a tournament.

Why do non-GhR players post here? It's obvious that this isn't a game specific issue. Hell all it's about is addition. You don't think people can add if they don't play GhR? Mauti doesn't play GhR, yet he runs the DAMN league. I doubt you will get an official answer at 3 AM EST, but if you read any of Mauti's recent posts you can tell for yourself what decision you will get. Get over your loss and move on for the tourney or next season.

To make it crystal clear: as Mysterio already said it - there won't be any finals due the lack of interest.

However we plan to make an afterseason tournament.
