What is a good headset (earphone/mic)?

BTSNova mentioned this a year and a half ago:

....then the usb mic:
i got the labtec 710....i hope its the right model number
plug in, and go!
i like it!! its a headset, and mono. no need for stereo ...
Nova  Smiley

With the new iChat AV supporting up to 10 person teleconferencing, I need a dual use (Productive and nonproductive purposes) headset for use with my AL powerbook 15".

I got the Logitech Precision Gaming Headset

I like this one, and I'm told the sound quality is crystal clear on the other end.

The headset itself although different, is rather attractive. But as everyone knows, headphones have never been a fashion statement. I would rather have a crappy looking set of awesome headphone rather than the opposite. Unlike most standard headphones, the Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headset is meant to be worn so the band is behind your head and not over top. The headset is remarkably light which can be attributed to the open concept design.

I guess you'd pick the opposite  Wink

I use Platronics... DSP500 i think it is - its a good mic, not the best for ajusting the mic i must say as it often won't stay where u want it (me and my big head Wink )

good quality sound, if i were wanting to listen to music though it though i would look for somthing higher up the market.

The DSP 500 has amazingly high quality sound. Even the DSP 400 is very amazing.

Yes its sound is good - although i would like headphones that are a bit more 'significant - - proper encasing ones that help reduce external audio as well... but they are good - and 10.3 update also meant that the little control on the wire works properly (didn't in 10.2 for me)

i'd like to have a "headset" as the guys who work on airports have... no external sounds at all, great configured mic... heh. probably unaffordable for a gamer tho. Roll Eyes

the ones sound engineers at concerts use are already very expensive... but they rock.

I've always used the Logitech Stereo USB Headset 200, which has never given me any problems at all.  I bought Gen Noreaga a set when he was my clan leader in |GM| and he really likes them, too.  The set costs about $39.99 US.
