Spend as much as you can stand on Sennheisers (buy from audiophile line). I bought a pair of HD 545s 6 or 7 years back, and still use them daily. FUCK GAMING, you will hear things in songs you never heard before. Buy a cheap ass mic (usb) if you must. But don't waste money on a combo.

Why spend 40$ on some crappy cheap ass headset you will throw away in 6 months. Spend your money on what you will use for years to come.
