Rarity of certain things like ... oh, say MARPAT?

the guy at the army/navy store where i live just got his hands on a set of marpat camo (the new stuff USMC is using) for a low low price of $110.00... ... !!! (ouch)

omg, the stuff is INCREDIBLY good looking. uses the exact same colors as woodland (only a tiny bit brghter), but all the colors are separated into little squares. no curves whatsoever, as they are portrayed by the squares or they are just scattered all over the place... every 17 inches on the fabric there is a tiny tiny tiny greenish usmc logo, pretty cool.

i cant wait till the aftermarket companies begin to mass produce for the public (they will soon i hear). that will be what i use in paintball, no doubt.

oh, and the guy could only get his hads on one set... geez no wonder he's charging so much.

Yep, an old Marine guy that I BS with sometimes when he comes in to my work let me in on the dirt.
 I've been salivating over that pattern (especially the urban one!!!) since we did US TAC, the tangos had the green MARPAT. It's a computer designed camo pattern. They started rolling it out slowly, over the last year mainly, and it's still tough as hell to get your hands on it even if you're a Marine on base!
 He did mention that there are knock-offs out there for cheaper, but 50 bucks for each piece is just about what he said they were charging, so you're probably not getting gouged too bad on the price
