Looking for some help here:

I play RS in Single Player mode. Have been since its release.

Just recently I began having a problem with the updated version of RS -

Once RS has been updated I begin to have problems with my USB mouse and also my original Apple ADB mouse culminating in a screen hang.

I have read the old posts regarding the infamous Mouse problem(relating to an RS bug) however I have never had this problem before running the RSupdate.

By reinstalling the original files I eliminate this problem-

I have repeated this process several times with the same results.

It does not appear to be an extension conflict as it still occurs running just the base Mac OS 9.1 system extensions. - Again it also occurs with the standard Apple ADB mouse.

Anyone else experiencing this symptom ??

Is there a work around that allows the use of the RS update?-

System:
Mac G3/Beige -
3DFX Voodoo 5
500mhz Met@box zif card-
Mac OS 9.1-
512MB of RAM (350MB allocated to RS)-
Wacom Graphire USB Tablet w/ wireless mouse

Thanks for your help,

scott

Well, if you aren't going to be playing online, I would suggest you just run the unpatched version.
