The first scheduled day of ghr cbs was yesterday. I'm just curious to see how the scheduling worked out. Did all the clans show or do all the clans have warning points? I didn't see many ghr adv cbs listed in the matchlist for yesterday but I'm not sure if they would have made it there yet since the results have to be posted to a thread first.

Let me know how it went

I've heard that the new update for GameRanger has affected some people's ISP connection. They cannot join any hosted rooms. Is this true or any feedback?

It doesn't affect ISP connections at all, all it does is bypassing routers or firewalls so configuration or port-forwarding isn't necessary to host or join games anymore for almost all people. There's a problem with RvS, though, which Evill's working on (not sure if he found the cause yet) which prevents some people to join rooms or it kicks players when the map changes (as far as I've heard). The other problem I know of is that OS9 users can't join rooms anymore which are hosted by OSX users, he's working on this one as well.

I don't think there are any general problems, it's pretty much only specific stuff (and he's working on fixing them ASAP).

Trying to find the post where she announced this but having no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction? Just wondering what caused the switch in days. I know that the DAMN site was down for a few days but it was back up on the scheduled cb day. Was that the cause for the switch?

Yes Ein, *DAMN was back up in time, but we had to be safe than sorry so I announced it on Gameranger and sent the leaders concerned each an email confirming this. If your looking for a post where I announced it, I didn't announce it on *DAMN because it was down........

To run a tournament weekend of this kind, we need everything to run smoothly. More info soon..

I can say that {E} has had a lot more people online than usual.  We played a great 8 vs 8 CB against cO (took a severe butt kicking btw) and some smaller CQBs.  I would say that, at least for {E}, interest and attendance is up.

Regarding the GR update: many {E} members are experiencing severe lag/voice issues that make GhR close to unplayable.  Personally, I am experiencing lag/warp spikes which seem worse than before - not unplayable but annoying.

I've been testing these with Evill....he is working around the clock to resolve these issues. Hopefully we can get these and RvS problems fixed asap. It's great to see {E} are enjoying some more activity on Gameranger and in CB's. At least you guys are giving it a go, which is the important part Wink

Tigah, thanks for clarifying for me. Here's hoping that next weekend's RvS cbs go smoother. Hopefully Evill will have the problems sorted out by then.

Yea, that was an awsome cb... I think we've done at leats an 8v8 with you guys before and they're by far the most fun cbs...  ggs

yea, the new GR update seems to be causing major lag problems in GhR, I don't know what's been fixed as of now.  But cell's host wasn't playable on gameranger at all, then we all IP joined and it was perfect.

Good feedback Krush on the update. If Gameranger has made playing GhR unplayable we might want to think about proceeding with the Scheduled CB's on Saturdays until this issue has been resolved. IP joinging is not an option. But would like feedback from the other Ghost Recon Clan Leaders or Senior War Admins.

The new update has also caused significant problems with ravensheild.
