you couldn't have put it better. but Gamespy is also the only possibility for us to host gigabytes of Mods without paying a cent for it. I know that the BL site loads very slowly (normally, 28secs for loading an index page would be an outrage), and i've thought about hosting it from my private line too. But, as always, things do not happen by themselves Smiley

Still not loading for me. Safari times out and IE just keeps going and going. Even the Forums are slow.

Maybe its time to do a "clean up" of the database and the forums database.

i have an older database version mirrored at home, and no problem there loading it. I'm sorry, but I can't do anything against gamespy's slow servers...

We should just wait and see. In early morning hours it seems perfect. Perhaps the servers are having trouble dealing with traffic.

Well the Forums are seeming better, but the BL main page is still 15-20 second load. Could there just be a flaw in the scripting?

This could be, but at the moment I don't really have the time for a rewrite... it seems that the gamespy server doesn't like included files, or that the database is exceptionally slow.
