Have you ever asked yourself where are the thousands of GameRAnger members!? 43765 to be exact. R6 Never Dies counted over 1000 downloads so where are these 1000 R6 player I never have met them in GR. Also 1180 RS Counterstrike downloads but where are the guys? - Not at GameRanger!!! Is there any other online service for R6 and RS? I don't think so but whereelse could all that guys be??? Maybe you know more but I am really wondering where the R6 community hides.  250 online peeps in GameRanger is a joke 5 R6/RS games at all is a joke. Really COME OUT AND COME TO GAMERANGER  WE WANT TO PLAY WITH YOU.

Average online user of GameSpy Arcade: 50,000 - LOL

Here's where they are:

1??      Rogue Spear: Urban Operations??      11136
3??      Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch??      5757
4??      Rogue Spear Demo??      4631
12??      Rogue Spear??      450

There is always at least 10 UO games going on at about 4-9 PM PST, and usually about 5 EW/R6 games going on... Looks like you miss most of the action..

Mauti!

Contact Evill and tell him he should place a good visible Link for the Gameranger Download here at our site.

By the masses of visitors we have Gameranger should also benefit from that i say. Also maybe there are many people who dont know about GR at all.

I have been on the game SCOUTER site and downloaded the latest version.

My opinion so far:  Very courageous and cool attemt to make a alternative to GR - but as u all will see yourself when u DL the "demo" -
GR is programmed much better and makes more fun even to be there (so far).

I hope Evill and the Scouter guys stop quarreling and work better on getting mac-players to their apps.!

ADVERTISING RULEZ GUYS!
(I am a graphic designer i HAVE to say that hehe)

Wrath these are the numbers of games played per week and doesn't say anything about the number of RS players in GameRanger.

E.g. if you play ?a session R6 or RS you will play at least 25 games in a row mulitplied with 10 hosts make 250 games played in 1 hour so to reach 11,000 games per week is simple.

But where are the players??? 361 peek number of online users is not very much. I really miss the 40,000 guys that have downloaded the RS demo or the 20,000 R6 Mac players worldwide. WHERE ARE THEY? DEFINITVE NOT IN GAMERANGER BECAUSE THEN THE ONLINE USER NUMBER WOULDNT BE SO LOW!

if gr had 40,000 people on at once it would crash every 5 seconds because there is always really bad chat lag with 300 people

However it must not be 40.000 guys online at once but where are these guys!? And to choose between 10 R6 or RS games is not very selective, is it!

Mauti... those are the amount of games started in GameRanger, not the amount of rounds played in a game, GR has no way of tracking internal data like that. Once you begin your RS/UO game, you are not in contact with the GR server.

The GR server is just a dual-proccessor Celeron on a shared T1 line (its running Linux), so it can't handle thousands of users anyways. When GR reached its peak amount of users (376 for the Links 2001 chat, I think it was) the server crashed shortly after the moderated chat was over, and everyone got to chat. The server simply isn't good enough to host 1000 people at once.

Gaming places like the Zone and Mplayer have multiple T3s (or OC-3s) to host their 50,000 average of users, and they make money from it, unlike GR. (which is why Scott Kevill won't pay people to advertise GR, he doesn't make money off of it; except for that one ad that nobody clicks on!)

Also, there is a major singleplayer following of RS, so I think we will be seeing more people come onto GR to play it online after they've completed the game in singleplayer (that's what lots of people did with R6).

He's talking about the downloads, not GR accounts.

Heh why are you going through digging up old posts? ?It is still a shame that there aren't many people on GR at a time. ?Today I was at my pc friends house and in the GR room on gamespy there are 365 people. ?There are several other rooms with about that much. ?In the Half Life room I believe it is there are 85,000 people. ?Almost more that we have in total on GR. ?But still this question really can't be answered, the players just aren't on and it wasn't necessary to bring it up flame. ?What are you doing going back and reading every thread?  I'm going to lock this.
