first the source where I got it: www.macfreak.org

first you have to enable the safari debug mode in the terminal, do it like this:

defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1

(to disable it simply replace the 1 with a 0)

after enabling it you should get a debug menu in safari.
In that menu you can find the option use transparent window.
Open a new window and click on the option in the menu. You should see the shadow disappear under the window.
After doing that simply copy paste the following link in the address window and press enter :

http://www.tvgids.nl/index.html

You should now see a webpage with a transparent background  Cheesy This should work with every site that hasn't got a specified background colour.  Grin

ps: I noticed some problems when trying to select text with my mouse when transparancy was active so be carefull when experimenting.
