So, trying to get away from the flame post which is on page 7 right now, I would just wondering why Scott Kevill has the forced full screen mode.

I have talked to a couple of people, one of which said that this prevents files from being moded during the game.  However, this doesn't make sense because when you modify files, you must then restart Ghost Recon in order for them to work.  Couldn't the same thing be accomplished by having a full screen mode, or am I way off with even the idea that it is supposed to stop cheating?

Fill me in please, the people I have talked to are not sure either why he made this update with full screen mode enforced.

This has been covered a few times, but I'll give you the cliff notes version.

1) Many cheats in the PC world require you to be in window, not full screen, mode.  (some aimbots that work off VB and OpenGL)

2) There are files you can adjust without restarting GR.  For example, you can change your graphics settings while in the game, just click on options.  Well, if you know enough about OpenGL, graphics, whatever, you could change settings that would say, get rid of the haze and fog for you.

Short and sweet.  But yes, you can change some files while the game is underway.  Some legitimate, some not.
