how do i go about making maps and skins on a mac?
i dont mean adding obects to a map using simple text.
every one is using 3d studio max, but, its not out for mac.
will it be coming out for mac? anyone?
please help! mauti!

also, how do you guys go about converting pc mods to mac mods?

The reason why I haven't posted a tutorial how to convert PC mods is that until we dont have the final version of the RS patch many mods need additional programming. General it is very easy to convert mods but when I post it and they try to convert a mod that doesn't work because of version 2.50. They will mail me why iot doesn't work. So this would much time but general you have to wipe out all control chars in each line and you have to convert all wav files to simple sound files! Thats it. 3DSM won't come for Mac but it isn't the app it is a plug in that let modders use 3DSM so they can export their maps for RS. A plug in for Cinema 4D  would be "enough" to create our own models. But I think that will never come!

Sad but true. The only thing you can do are weapon mods like ITF or NATO for R6(only pics but no new weap models) and skin mods. But you can't do anything that needs a 3D model application.

oh well, i have a friend with an IBM maybe i can do it all on his computer.  Going back and forth from his house and mine will be hell,  but at least ill be able to mod.  Hehe then ill need you to convert my mods! Thanks anyways mauti! Smiley

Mac's OWN! i am getting a G4, and maybe insted of getting two flat screen's i'll get a PC... Does anyone know where i can get a P2/500 chip? i have a case and all innards...and i can get a HD cheap and some ram can be taken out of my iMac... i only need a prossecer.... HELP!

LOL sheep! i have a iMac, a P3 800 Laptop, and tons of extras... Rich? yes. we drive multipul BMW's and have a large house. only one prob... parenst make me buy my own computers ?Sad...i am getting a G4 500-533 DP, with 1-1.5GB of RAM, 105GB of HD, and 1-2flat screens (1 if i get a Pc also...) and 1-2 regular LARGE (19-21) monorots...

to use 3d studio max to make rouge spear mods, what do you need? just 3dsm and the plug in?
cause the frined i have with the pc doesnt have rouge spear,

Yes you only need 3DSM and the plug in but if your friend can effort 3DSM (6500 US Dollar) he can also buy RS for 40 Dollars to test the things you actually made.
