i've left the following post on macclans.com

i know that macclans was something the grifter was working hard to bring to you guys, but it doesn't seem that it was something that was really needed.  i'm not sure why.

maybe with the .mac going pay, more of you would have like it.  either way, i have to make a decision on it soon, because i don't want danielle paying the bill for it.  

so please voice your opinions there on the future of macclans.com.

I really liked macclans.com, but i guess its up to you if wana pay the money to run it.

The marines are so good they took a jeep into some Iraq village trying to get ambushed, they refueled 6 times and did everything they could to get ambushed. and didn't!
Then the same people take in a army jeep and try not to get ambushed and they do. but the marines kill them all and go home.

If you want, you can get the domain transfered to me, I can pay for it etc. And perhaps my brother and I can maintain the site, I think that Grifter would like it to still be there.

i have a old mac, and i'm getting a fatty dsl line with a hoard of static ips. if it comes down to it, i could host some sites. i'm also a skilled at webdesign. if i could help let me know, i'd be glad to

Well Deadeye, Grifter cherished macclans.com and I think he would love for the name to carry on in his remembrance. ?I do Web Design < I designed theTribute to Grifter Page, along with our |?K| Site > and offer updating help and even that new look Grifter was always looking for. ?I offer my help and would be honored if you'd let me be part of it. ?Even though me and Grifter had our arguements, it never changed that we both agreed on the same Game and how much we were down to contribute. ?I, being still new to all this, can only wish to help carry a good tradition started by a Great Player and Competitor. ?Please Tell me what you think. ?Thanks, ?|?K|*R?p1d?*

my first concern is the use of macclans.  as clans come and go, only a few are being hosted right now.  also, the forums are not very used, and it hasn't spread much to other games except aliens v preditor.  i don't think he'd want us to keep it alive if it weren't being used.

also, he paid for the domain for something like 10 years.  he owns a few, including macclans.com and mac-clans.com.  so the worry isn't there.  

if people want to use it, to help contribute and grow that idea, then we will find a way to work it out.  i'll have all his hardware.  the only thing i'll need to figure out is paying for the bandwidth.  business class lines like his aren't cheap.  he has a fractional T1 going into his house.  but if there is want, then i'm sure we will work it out.  

if you guys want it, it can be all that he was looking at.  including the e-mail server he had set up.  it could be a great replacement for itools going away.

Well, Perhaps minimize it. Just keep it there for information, not for hosting etc. I could probaly give it 384 from a cable, I dunno if that's enough though.
