iguard trouble/question

Ive been hosting lately and i do have iguard 2.0 but when you die it doesnt have that red letters at the bottom,"iguard 2.0", like in harv's for the ones that know what im talking about.  Is there some kind of master list that i need?  I need to know that its working, i  already ban two ppl that cry and say i dont have iguard WHICH I DO, and saying that we are cheating.  Plz help if you know what im talking about so i can take care of the cry babies that come in my server and get pwnt all that time and say we cheat...thanks

I think 2.1 has issues.. thats why it was still in testing phase and was not supposed to be released yet... it banned me from my own host b/c it said i activaed a cheat.. and i was not even there playing (2.0 only banns when someone actives the hack from within the game for the hack the type of bann in did on me).. 2.1 still needs more work b4 it is used for cb's!!!!!!

i cant install 2.1.  I had the same trouble with 2.0 and it was only until I got the manual installer that I was able to play.... can someone help me with the manual files, please?

There appear to be some problems reported with 2.1 - servers such as BTs_LeeHarvey's server have had some issues so i believe will remain running 2.0 until the problems are fixed.

ok there is an issue with iGaurd 2.1 with server over 10 peeps¡¡ from drew (the developer)

i'd have to look at the code when i get home, but it's possible i messed up in the amount of characters it's supposed to read from because in all my logs it was always 1 number afterward, but if there are 10 players that makes it 2 numbers, it's no ban but i should have it fixed as soon as possible. problem is that i'm at my gf's atm and won't be bak to home till sun. night.

this is a problem that i had not thought of and i had gotten no error reports bak till this so i assumed everything was working properly. i will give rev a new one as soon as i get bak.

as for 2.1 i was also banned from my own server so i tried to go in harveys room after i removed the igaurd .ini ban from my self.. thoought damn its not working. thought it wa an issue of having a later version of igaurd but it turns out i didnt have probs joiining legend robs room. mb harvey has diff. maps mods ect than stock. but after the ini was erased for my own ban. it works just fine for me..cause it was harder to uninstall 2.1 and go back to 2.0

no.. 2.0 and 2.1 allows for other maps mods....... its a prob with the 2.1 update..... it was stil in beta testing when mauti posted up on the DBL site!!!!! (and i would know.. im one of the beta testers!!!)

Yea, I've been playing in your server a lot lately and I've gotten the message "Error, Connection Failed" everytime now since you installed iGuard 2.1.  We can play a couple matches and then everybody loses the connection.

On a side note, and you probably already know this Harv, but your server is no longer keeping stats (or it hasn't been for the last 3 days)... it always sais it's offline.

@ Harv: I didn't know anything about the file being in beta test. Byran sent me an email on 16th october that iGuard 2.1 is ready for download.

However I put down the installer until all issues are solved.

i meant i was running stock maps and couldnt join urs harvey but legend robs has 2.0 and i could join his, mb it was the iguard on my end cause it banned me from my own serverr. it banned me from every server. i didnt join robs till after i erased the .ini on my part. ill try joining urs as well today harvey to see

I think we need a short, official, note on what version to use on GR
(at least for laddergaming, but I take it, that this recommondation will automatically call for all hosts (convenience).

There is a little frustration right now, on what version to use, when we play fun-games.

For the moment until these issues have been fixed i recommend staying with the latest stable version of iguard: version 2.0

Yeah I'm sorry for the confusion, but as written above it was submitted as ready for download by the dev himself.

As posted on the main news you should use version 2.0 until verson 2.1 is available again.

would it be cool with everyone to go back to 2.0.  It seemed to work so much better.  I might go back to 2.0 just bc i cant even get the 2.1 to check ppl when the come into my host.  I used to be able to view in the console that iguard is checking players as the come in...2.1 i cant get to do that...someting to do with the ravensheild.mod...server actions settings??? i dont know..tell me what you guys all think.

As we've said above, we strongly recommend everybody runs version 2.0 until these issues have been corrected

k im having probs with going back to 2.0 as for what things to take out and then reinstall 2.0, i can find everything but the last 2 things neededto convert back to 2.0 any help would be appreciated

Just use the manual install for 2.0 and replace the existing files in the sub folders of Raven Shield Data. It's pretty easy to do and it's the same process I did to revert back. Here's the link for you: http://www.damnr6.com/mods/rvsiguardmanualinstall.zip
