Ehm Ghost have you looked at GameRanger recently, since the season started activity is incredible, and ladders are going strong as well - already over 120 played cbs since the season started this monday.

Also BF Demo is very strong in GameRanger. There are tons of games open right now. But you are right that the general GameRanger statistics are going down. They had their peek 2 years ago.

I think it has something to do that a lot of people's hardware is just outdated and can't run anything else than Rogue Spear and maybe GhR so people move to gaming consoles and a few have even switched to a PC. A lot of people also from this forum, Ultimo, Psyco Assassin, Voodoo to name only a few.

However I think overall activity will start again once the people have the money to upgrade. I have the feeling that a lot of players hold back for the next revisions of G5s and the G5s pbs.

Just out of curiosity, how do you get "over 120 CBs played" out of 68 CBs?

CB = Clan Battle. GhostSniper's suggestion that clans get points for their players succcess in FFAs was already shot down, thus solidifying *DAMNs decision that an FFA is NOT a CB.

We are also refering to FFA battles as FFA cbs, if you feel to be that nitpicking, translate cb as combat...

and some thought that i can listen here or there just that to help things get better u must understand whats appening, but no one can say stats are not shity and yes BF demo is doing good cause its new and fun 10 mn

no question you are right about the stats, altough it is very hard to say how the really uptodate situation is. At the moment I can really find more than enough games at almost any hour. When I compare the situation to the one the last few months since our website downtime it improved much.

However back to the point - do you think the games are the reasons? I think it's the outdated hardware most people play with. They can't play the latest games so they stop playing at all. The only thing for me to think that many gamers have just bought new hardware is the BF demo activity and the increased RvS activity. BF is extremely demandning and RvS is also very resource hungry. So to be honest I don't have a clue. May Apple should push it more again.

OK so no real solution coming from us and yes since website is back and thx to u guys things are doing much better!! still a new game will re launch it i think, it may also relaunch the sales of new macs maybe !!!

also the constant upgrading of OS x is pissing me off. 10.2.2 and i cant get any new games. Might aswell wait for that tiger crap instead of getting 10.3 which means i wont be on the RvS scene for a little while. All makes sense.
