Hi there....

I've recently decompressed exe packed mods for use with my Mac version of GR some are left exactly as PC version (and work fine), some I had to alter the model/texture files to get rid of rsb's that the mac wouldn't render (and models that crashed the game), all have been patched to the latest version.
They include...
G8 special forces (had to remove some models)
Opcom (is patched - has some texture issues on weapon models that won't render, Ok apart from that)
UK Pathfinders (I've modified, models to my own liking)
UK Parachute regiment
Comandos
31st MEU MAU
...to name a few
I've also stripped out Sabre Teams to work on the basis of a folder drop system (overwritting folders for models in the 'Actor' Folder of the mod. not finnished yet, big undertaking done most of uniforms need to characters faces now, and maybe names (although I might leave them as 'GSG-9 rifleman' etc, depend how much time I spend on it)

Anyway I used your website for lots of great mods (frostbite, Island Thunder)
and would really like to give something in return that others can share.

So would you like them...

If so please send me an email and let me how I can upload them to you.
(I've not done it before I'm on 600mb Broadband)

Hi, of course.

That would be great: if you are on a broadband connection the best and easiest way would be if you open your mac as ftp server using your sharing controls and send me your ftp address. Then I could just download them on my Mac and then upload them to Fileplanet.

Bye and thanks,

Mauti
ps: is it you Orange, that worked together with me on the Rogue Spear WW2 Mod extension that changed all enemies in the missions to ones with WW2 weapons?

Hi there again...

No that wasn't me, I'm relatively new to this game. I'm a bit of an Americas Army whore you may of heard of me there.

I'll get my mods ready and look into doing this ftp thing.

Hi There Mauti

Here is an update on those mods.
11 in total, including Sabre Teams, G8 Special Forces, Marines Force Recon 1.1, Comandos, British Parachute Regiment, Opcom, KSK Dersert Siege Edition and more

They're all done zipped and waiting transit.

The problem is that I can't get an ftp port though my router at the moment. I know that it should definitely be possible and I'm working to resolve this.

PS If I get it sorted I'll send you an email with account details etc.

I have a copy of the British Infantry mod, now ported for Mac (don't look at me! I was just messing around and then suddenly found myself with a working version, cept the movie intro files are in .avi and I can't find a way to export to .mov despite attempts to download QuickTime Pro updater to open such avi files).. But its definately a very beautiful mod.

Just playing the first level on the other comp and it appears very nicely scripted and very tough. Smiley

if ur Quicktime can open the avi file, the movie will work in GhR. if not then u dont have the right codec 4 that particular avi format, try ffmpegX 4 convertion.
the avitomov tool only works if Quicktime can open the movie in the firstplace.

QT gets all sound running, but no visual.

Is that a codec problem or not?

if u get sound but now pic, its a codec issu 4 sure, if u open info in quicktime it will tell u the 4cc code of the codec(if its a avi file)

4 playing avis (or any vids):
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html

if vcl wount play it, its a very small chance that u can convert it on the mac, as its prob a PC only codec.

4 converting try these apps:
http://homepage.mac.com/major4/
http://mplayerosx.sourceforge.net/
