i use it too.

i can say this:
RvS recognizes here
- left mouse
- right mouse
- wheel up / down

i created a setting for RvS in the overdrive screen and assigned all other buttons to the existing (default) keys. works perfect.

USB overdrive rocks - I've tried a few others of its type (Including a commercial version, blargh) and here's what I've learned:

I've got a logitech mx550 or some such, 4 button w/scroll.

In OS 9 (9.2.2), Ghost Recon refuses to allow me to use more than 3 buttons.  It works completely normally in OS X (Jag.)

I haven't played RvS yet so don't know if it's even close to being related, but that's what i've found with GR.

you can also try mapping the mouse keys as keystrokes instead of ,,mouse click and/or secondary click........

thats a easy fix

if you have the logitech driver installed ....make sure you get rid of the kernal extension,,,,
its a file it loads at login...which wont allow you to us usb overdrive correctly....

go to system prefs...accounts....login items and remove the logitech or microsoft helper file

Revolt is right.

Logitechs deamon loads at startup, and wants to be the last startup item. So You can't use USB overdrive, because it's overriden by Logitechs Daemon.

I like the Logitechs daemon. -Just not in GhR.
I combine killing the Daemon, (lol,) and renicing GhR, using an app. called 'Process Wizard'. (Look at VersionTracker.com.) Renicing GhR can be a bit tricky, but it's usefull. -Gives me a few extra FPS, which is really nice, considering that I'm on a 400MHz, 32 MB GFX, G4. (The first of the G4s, with a Radeon 7000 GFX card.)
To kill a the Logitech daemon with 'Process Wizard', Click the menubar icon, click where it says 'Applications', select 'Background Apps', right/control-click 'Logitech Control Center Daemon', and select 'Kill'. This removes the daemon, frees up a little mem, and there by lets You map ALL 8 buttons and the wheel, (if You're using a Logitech MX500,) on OS X. -Without using USB Overdrive.

Only 2 small anoying things about this approach.

1. You HAVE to remember to kill the daemon (eeeeevery time) when You wanna play GhR.

2. You want the driver back when back from playing GhR. -At least I do. But that doesn't mean You have to reboot.  Smiley Just double-click the daemon. Here is it's location:
/Library/Application Support/Logitech/LCCDaemon
It has a deacent icon, so it doesn't look like crap, if You place it in your Dock(.app), Dragthing, or similar.

Just my 2 ?

 Wink

Peace and bliss, friends,

I have a Logitech Mx%00 8 button mouse.. I use USB overdrive to map my keys out... It works Great for me.. I even have the GR voice chat buttons maped out as mouse buttons so i can voice chat quickly. If you use USB over drive.. map all the movements and things you want to do to keystrokes in the game. Then use USB overdrive to map those keystrokes to buttons on your mouse. I have the buttons that RvS (and GhR) does not recognise on my mouse maped to the keystrokes i want it to do.. the mouse buttons that the games recognise i let the game map the comands out for it.

I think Harvey means the MX500 but he was too happy with his SHIFT key when entering MX%00 Tongue

Anyways, I have the same mouse, the 8 buttons, and I tried everything to make USB Overdrive work. But it's not. I deleted the Kernel from startup items, I am using OSX 10.3.3 and tried USB Overdrive. It just won't do anything different.
I had it working just 1 game somehow, and then I couldn't voice chat anymore (got a message like, Voice input not found, u know, the female voice telling me this).

So, could some1 help me out? im gunna try rebooting and see if it works now. with some minor adjustments.

yea i meant the mx500.

I never installed the logitech drivers from logitech (well i did and didnt like them so i uninstalled them) USB overdrive works flawlessly for me.. in all games.. but you have to set it up right (map out what keystroked you want it to assign to the mouse buttons). I takes me like an hr for every new ame to get everything set up like i want it for each game.. but after that i dont have to mess w/ it much.
