Yet I still got myself into it on blogger.com.

I made it my homepage but I wanted to add some things on the sides to make it more homepage - like.  I have to change the code of the template in order to insert things which is good and bad.  It's good becuase there are many possiblities and you can change it in whatever way you want but it's bad because I have no HTML experience whatsoever but I guess this is good training.

My question is can I put a little search bar on the side of my homepage like lets say a Dogpile search.  I tried inserting googles search but 1.  It's ugly  2.  It was too big  3.  It was white and that doesn't look good with my black background.

And I didn't know if I could put a news ticker or something in it too.

The fact the CNN decided to make a whole segment on their channel about what bloggers are writing mades me feel incredibly sick.
