Season X: Admins? Volunteers?

To mauti: what typhy said was constructive he gave direction on what it would take to be a admin. BTW, you list on non-European people seems to consist of many admins no longer on the team... odd indeed.

I would throw my name into the hat, but seeing as admins are selected via the preference of mauti, not experience or ability to make constructive ideas/opinions.

I would support GS becoming a admin but seeing as mauti seems to hold this unjustifiable ...and apparently indescribable by even him... bias against him I would have to go with spike... I guess he has the most experience of anyone on the list of possibilities.

The thing I'd like to see is an admin with some experience. I'm sick and tired of having a ton of newbies as the *DBL admin team.

Experience with what? Experience of life, of playing Raven Shield and Ghost Recon etc? Experience in dealing with Leagues and kids who want to do nothing but complain and seek too make themselves look better than others? Or was this mearly a thinly veiled insult towards a member of the Admins?

Remember, though, guys. Once you sign on as an admin, you must release any logical thoughts from your mind, because they'll never be used during your job as an admin. 

Just like you managed to do i guess?

 BTW Mysterio yes there are currently more European Amins since both Aramarth and Harvey have both decided that their priorities lie elesewhere. Funny you also fail to pick up the fact that Tigah is not European. Aramarth has also not yet left. But then again those are small points if your just looking for away to attack people.

I just had a conversation with BFG on GR. Despite the fact he loves personal attacks I did gather some more important points. He openly invited me to post this on the forums, but chat logs are so boring.

I asked him why he wouldn't pick GS as a admin, but of course he was hard pressed to find any words. At first he blamed him for crimes committed by crypt, later admitting his mistake. After a long winded attempted to explain why he couldn't explain, it came down to him admitting the reasons he came up with were unfit for the public posting or in actuality valid against his credentials.

I thank BFG for his time, and invited him to be more polite next time.

Yes you need say more. But let me address the parts of that post first. I simply stated that you were  a representation of all thing wrong in this community. Newbies have no place as admins, especially ones who cower to the admin section. Sorry tigah, I don't believe I've ever pmed you, and you might want to reword that, admins are there to answer questions (insults should be the sole word). Two useless admins yes, one who won't answer real questions, and one who is yet to make a constructive post. Constructiveness of posts were fine until a admin posted pure BS and got the same in return.

So yes do say more... thin line? ...what a threat... Welcome to the generation of the mafia admin.

What was that song, "why cant we be friends, oh why cant we be friends?'  I think that everyone needs to realize that this whole BL is for people to have fun and play games,  Myst who cares if someone is a dictator over it ( I in no way think Mauti or the admins are Dictators) but even if they are Myst what is the point of flaming agianst people like tigah or BFG who dont blatantly attack you personally?  There is no point for harsh text and mean words to be thrown around in here.  I think that you should think before you type,  lets not start a flame war here Myst and Typhy.  Lets put some thought into what we say and think, "will this type better the world of the DBL?" And if it does in your opinion, go ahead POST AWAY! I encourage you to, but sadly what I just read has nothing to do with helping the DBL, in fact it is a major hinderence for people to spend their time flaming back in forth.

Actually myst I posted that after I found out that I wasnt chosen for an Admin spot, and even if I was please think about what you just typed, it might have started another needles flame war from something you could have kept to yourself.

Why keep that to myself when you didn't spare any false BS or make mauti the good guy stuff from your post? I wouldn't bet you were rejected, probably mauti said "We didn't feel you are ready quite yet, though we do think you could make a great admin in the future if you become more involved in the battle league in seasons to come."

Ok a final post on this:

Firstly many many appologies to you Mysterio. I make the supid mistake of often coming on to Gameranger so that i may play games and chat with the many great guys i know around the world. I had (stupidly) forgotten that actually my primery role on Gameranger was to sit watching you PM me whenever over any issue that came to mind regarding the BL and how its all so shocking etc etc. Now i realise the error of my way was to believe that actually this was time that i spend playing, not time listening to little kids whine at me. Now i realise that actually as a BL forum Admin when im on Gameranger i must be available to answer all and any questions that you may ask me, and i must answer them when and how you want straight away, dropping all else i might be doing at the time.

So i appologies. Im sure it wont happen again. Just for the record please note there is a difference between BL forum and GR Admin. Hence the invite to post on the forum... Thought most folk understood the difference alas.

Back to business. I make a extreamly concerted effort to be as cordial and straight up with people as i can as much of the time. But unfortunatly there are times when i just cannot stand being treated like a door mat by some people any more. Unfortunatly tonight was one of those nights. So firstly appologies to Mailman for my outbirst via shade - bad timing but it does get annoying being asked the same thing repeadedly again and again and again when the answer is allways the same.

But please please do feel free to highlight my shocking record with a love of Personal attacks. I forgot i cannot ever question someones attitude towards a matter but must sit back while they sling bullshit at me with a smile on my face.

So yes its true, tonight i didn't feel like not joining my clan mates in the game, cutting KDX so i could concentrate on a written responce, and ignore the other people PMing me on Gameranger. Shocking isn't it. As for why i stated i didn't think Ghostsniper would make the best admin? several reasons non personal nor any that i feel need to be discussed in public least with you Mysterio but GS it was nothing personal, we don't see eye to eye politically but thats a completely different matter in my opinion. (im still looking forward to our cuppa coffee and chat one day) but i felt there were other people who would fit the bill more suitably. I had originally made the error of mistaking the posts by Crypt ont he MGL forum to have been made by Ghostsniper - crossed wires which i very quickly uncrossed.

I thank BFG for his time, and invited him to be more polite next time.

Lastly thankyou Mysterio for probably ignoring most of this post or just the bits you don't want to read. I'd also like to invite you to try to communicate with others as if you were on the same level - You have views and opinions and your very welcome to them but i am no longer going to sit here and listen to your petty whining i have no longer the patience or the want to.

Further it was you that misused his power as admin, changed clanstatus, reactivated clans without the knowledge of the other admins, you just did it because you thought it is your opinion and so it must be the right one. That and the unwillingness to work as team was the reason you got kicked as admin.
