well heres the story,

Im on OSX ok.  Now, i have a family pack so every has different logins, different accounts, etc.  My bro logged in as admin. he installed on HD so everyone can use it.  He tried to play, he can (as an admi.) when i try i cant because it says it cant write the file 'Backup.pln' file or w/e.  so inother words... i can't play.  Im thinkin it's because i dont have 'access privelages' to do so, so it doesnt allow me to.  Mb, mb not, how can i change that so i can or how can i jsut solve the problem.  My bro says the admin cant change the access privelages, though hes not 100% on that, hes full confident he gave all he could.  *sigh* as i say, if theres no way, OSX is gay.

Log in as your brother's account. Get Info on the backup.pln file. Expand the "Ownership & Permissions" section, and then the "Details" section that it contains. Under the "Others:" heading, change the access from "Read only" to "Read & Write". Then all accounts on your machine will be able to write to that file, which should solve that problem. : )

you could also change the permissions of the entire Raven Shield folder, so that all files in there are Read & Write by all users. this prevents you from problems with other files that may have to be written by the game.

ok,  the same thing happed to me with another game. All you need to do is go into the gameranger prefs once your loged in on your account and go to the game list. Scroll down to RvS and click on browse. It just needs the correct path updated to that user.
