Yeah, I remember watching the first two Neverending Story movies in the theatre, damn fine fantasy flicks.

cheers to Thin Red Line. The scene where they are on that grassy hill was phenominal. My film class tried (actually we did good at it) to recreate that scene.

Cool, since we're on the Movie Subject, I suggest you all go out and rent "Rogue Force". ?It will really get your blood going for Rogue Spear/Rainbow6 and it relates to the game more than any other flick I've seen yet. ?It's bad ass, you'll like it. ?With that said, don't forget "BlackHawk Down". ?These movies are reasons games like RS exist. ?It also gives you an idea on how important proper communication and teamwork is. ?Something we |?K|'s work on so hard on8)

For more info on "Rogue Force" go here===> http://www.ifilm.com/ifilm/product/film_info/0,3699,2382586,00.html

Actually, I think a bunch of kick ass best sellers by guys like... oh, say.... Tom Clancy are more responsible for games like R6 and RS.

Which is actually on topic because I'm dreading "The Sum of All Fears".  Man, talk about taking nothing but character names from the book....  This was the book that Jack Ryan became President after all...  God, if they wanted to change actors, they could have at least made Rainbow Six or Without Remorse....  Bah!

GRIFT, I believe you are thinking of Debt of Honor. The only major change from what I know is that the bad guys are Neo-Nazi's instead of Middle Eastern terroritsts. I talked to someone who has read the book and seen an advanced preview of the movie and he said it was pretty good.

Good catch Ace, it was Debt of Honor I was thinking of.

I hear the movie is quite good, but it doesn't follow the book at all.  Which just pisses me off... they are going to turn this into a James Bond series if they aren't careful.... which is a shame because it's such a great series of books.

They say Citizen Kane is the greatest American film of all time, but I'd say it is the most vastly overrated film of all time across the world.  It was just bad.

I agree about 12 Angry Men though.  Godfather was alright but I think Mafia and Gangster films are overrated as well.

I've seen maybe 1/3 of the movies on your list and the only one I'd say was actually great was 12 Angry Men.

Man Blackie.. not a film on that list younger then like 25 years... most of them are a lot older then me =P

Everyone you point to there is a great flick.. just not my most watched DVD's.  BTW, you missed one flick that would fit in with your thread Anatomy of a Murder, Great flick based upon a true court case and filmed in the same courtroom and town that the actual trial took place (Brain, you should be able to name that town).  If you haven't seen it, rent it.
