Good Lord!!

Loth and Harvey I owe you both a pint for going on about zapping my ram... I did it earlier but only once and had no effect,  - just done it 6 times in a row and Lo and behold!!

Cannot describe the smile on my face... i won't have clients breathing down my neck or tutors stringing me from the girders Smiley many thanks

Just can't help but wonder why the previouse zapping didn't work. but hey Smiley

     You mean you only rebooted while holding the zap keys once? If so, that's why it didn't work. Multiple consecutive restarts are required for a full reset of the PRAM.

note quite - held it down till i got the start up sound... kept holding... kept hold.ing till i got the sound again then let it boot... but hey! yeah very very sorted Smiley everything is working like hunky dorey!! Smiley
