so i ws downloading maps from the Damn* BL mac ghost recon maps page. and once i had all of the ones i wanted i went to activate them, i read the read the read me and it said to just use the installer and it would be easy as pie. trouble was, there was no installer. i looked on the page where i got the maps from for an installer and couldn't find one. i didn't want to manualy put each file where it should go because there are a lot of folders and i'd end up screwing it up. did i over look something on the download page for an installer? or do i have to get it from somewhere else? any help would be appreciated. you can email me with some info if u want. thanks.

Don't you just click on the file you just downloaded and it automatically opens the built-in installer?  I think that's how I've always done it.

the *DAMN BL mappacks have installers... i don't know about all the other single maps in the Mac GhR Downloads but i doubt they have. it should be explained in the ReadMe's  how to and where to install them.

yes, i'm talking about the other single maps. not the mappacks. this is from the utah beach map's read me...    

Installation notes:
Run the installer and browse to locate your Ghost Recon folder. Install into this folder.

it says this in almost all of them. some don't even have a read me. this is how they explain how and where to install them.

to ghost sniper. when i download the map from filePlanet, it gives me a folder with more folders inside. ex. textures folder, model folder, mission folder. there's stuff inside that is to go into the  Ghost Recon data/mods/ mp1   or origmiss  and then into those folders. it's hard to tell which one it goes into, mp1 or origmiss so i can't do it manually. what does it give u when u download it?

they come with a .zip file. do i jst use that? i think i always trashed them because i thought they were jst like the stuffit expander things. i think i've got it, thanks.

it's the same for everybody. just follow the available ReadMe's and do the same with the ones that don't have one with the map(s). if you put it in the origmiss or MP1 folder doesn't really matter... usually it's the origmiss one tho, try it there.

edit for your second post: un-zip the .zip file... after that you can trash it. you only need the content.

I think he is referring to the PC ReadMe where the map comes in an exe installer.

Asylum77, for the Utah Beach map, just place the folder Utah Beach into your Mods folder. Then go into the game and activate the map. You would install all the other maps the same way.
