Silent, deadly and blue... Smurfs

One feature I missed a lot from pre-Raven Shield (RvS) Clancy's game was the mod folder. Indeed, this was an extremely useful way of managing the mods (adding. activating, removing, etc).

Hopefully I've come with a work around for this, it's not perfect but it does the job alright.

1- In The RvS directory create a new folder called "Mods" (or what ever else) in which you will place all the mods you install (unstuffed obviously)

2- Each time you install a mod, select all in a specific folder (like 'Maps') of this mod and make an alias of the files. Do this for every folders/files in the specific mod's folder.

3- Move the files of the mod as you would normally

Now. The mod is installed like it should, and you have an alias of all it's files to easily access them

To remove a mod simply select all of the alias, hit cmd-r (Apple-r) and move/delete the selected files

It's that easy!

yo, I made an installer for mods. So if the mod porter/converter releases a mod, I can simply put all files in the installer. Then I send it back again and he can publish it.

It's a Vise installer which searches every HD for the Raven Shield Data folder, and then if it finds one, it sets that folder as installation folder. If it finds 2, it lets you choose. Upon choosing u will continue and every file will be installed into the appropriate folder. Ez as that. Lemme know if some mod porter is interested.

I found a better way to manage your modded maps. While doing some coding for Athena Sword ill put it on the site.
