[Rules Change] - [13.4.2002 ; 12:10 am - by PsYcO_aSsAsSiN]
Ever since it has been brought to my attention by Grifter, I think that there should be a rule deciding whether you can switch members of a given clan during the middle of the cb. Please vote now and voice your opinions.

At our rules meeting, we decided that the best rule on this matter would be to allow substitution, but only when the host switches. No leaving in the middle of a host-period and letting someone else in. Also, if both clans choose to do so, they can agree to not allow substitution at all.

The main thing in the CBs is to ave fun. So ppl should be able to change players when ever they wish so the game can keep going.

i find grifters point on the money. like grifter stated is it the people you are cbing or the clan? point made right there. and yes it should be made during server change or if a guy crashed and didnt come back and you had another member on GR idling =/.
and rapid, it shouldnt be the another clans choice if the clan wants to change members during server change. cuz lets say you are playing with members that are really rusty, and during change, the clan sees a member that is warmed up and doing fine, it would be fair to have that person sub for that guy, nothing wrong with that at all. it is like a game, if a guy gets tired sub them in, dont let them sit in the game to do more harm

[color=Purple]VooDoo...

Say you were CB'ing SWAT in a 4 v 4. You hosted the first 5 games and were down 3-2 and we were switching servers.... Oso had to leave but Kyo was online. What would be wrong with Kyo being in the CB with Matt, Wrath and MPE? He's still SWAT, it's still the same clan.

or lets say that you set the time up, but one of your best members wasn't online when you started the CB (had detention at school or something gay). When you switched servers, wouldn't you like to bring in that player in place of someone else? He's still AgT... still the guy that you wanted in the CB in the first place. Why shouldn' t he be allowed in the CB at the switch? What is "unfair" about it?

A CB isn't about Ultimo, Electronicjo and Nomad playing against Matt, Oso and Kyo.... it's about KoS vs SWAT. Doesn't matter who's in the game... or at least it shouldn't in my opinion.

well...i think the problem is that if a clan is in a 2vs.2 cb, and say they are playin 6gmaes, and say im hostin 3 games with no lag, then the opposing clan hosts the other 3 games and we get lag(during the testing), if both of the opposing members of the other clan cant host a no lag game there is a good reason to be able to switch a team members to be able to get a good ping. Per the rules of the BL NO ONE CLAN CAN HOST ALL THE GAMES so if there is a lag problem on the opposing team and can't get a good ping, how can the cb continue and be fair??? So I think that there should be member switching for that reason only.

can anyone understand what i just wrote here, lol

Typhy,

I agree that any switches would have to be done only when changing servers (starting up, between servers, switching in OT). For pretty much the same reasons... it would be a big mess doing it not inbetween games. The exception that I've personally seen to this is when someone crashed and didn't come back for 5 mins... they just grabbed another member that was online (there were a bunch). This kept the CB going, and to me is completely fair.

Well, here is what I think: A clan should not be able to change members every game, two members leave? Screw them, You should have to play on and only be able to get new members in at the change of a host. If new members could come in anytime that they wanted, It would get into a big mess. I think that only between Server changes should clans be able to switch members.

[color=Purple]Ok, first Rapid... this should and would have no effect on your CB with DisneY. That is a special mess that needs fixing.

If it's a rule, then no permission is necessary. No agreement is necessary.

The point of it to me is that you are CB'ing a clan... not just these three or these two players. LOL... I even had one clan tell me they wouldn't CB if I was playing (yeah, that makes sense to me).

Infection... I have no idea why you don't think it would be fair. Again, are you CB'ing just a coule people or a Clan? It shouldn't matter which members of the clan you face.... or if they change... you are competing with the clan as a whole, aren't you?

Someone please explain why this isn't fair? Why you need permission? Why should one clan have the right to tell the other who's allowed to CB?

maybe if the person was already on gr but if they sign on during the cb and the clan would rather use that person it wouldnt be fair. if your not sure you should have to wait until you have everybody on that you need or everybody can participate.

just a thought
