Title: Ghost Recon Mac - Menu Screens
Post by: JCRF on April 20, 2011, 12:15:13 am
Hey guys, first of all this website and it's resources are awesome and extend the life of a great game (GR).

My question is; I have Ghost Recon Gold Edition for my iMac (OS 10.5.8 ) and when I change the resolution to make it higher rez it only works when in-game but the menus looks horribly low-rez, washed out, jagged and just plain shit.... Is there a way to up the resolution on the menu screens too so it doesn't look horrible.?

I had a DLed version of Ghost Recon a few years ago on my older mac, and when I changed the video settings it effected the menus too, but not now. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Hi Justin,

could you please post some screenshots of it. Usually the menus should also change resolutions and the text becomes smaller the higher the resolution is. What resolutions did you try out?

Greetings,

Mauti

Hey Mauti, thanks for the reply but I got another answer on a different forum. Apparently the main menu screens are hard programmed to always be 640x480 and the resolution changes only apply to ingame. I think the reason why I think they looked way worse than before is because I am now looking at it on a 27" monitor. :) Instead of an ibook.
