Title: Help starting Omaha Beach Post by: Ryan on July 19, 2001, 05:56:57 pm Ive activate the Omaha Beach mod, but can't find it in UO, where is it?
Thanks in advance Title: Re: Help starting Omaha Beach Post by: Black Sheep on July 20, 2001, 01:27:53 am have you only activated the map? if so its in custom missioneither under terrorist hunt, or assault.
if youve also activated the weapons and mission mod,... then its also in the custom mission section! its not in the single player menu. Title: Re: Help starting Omaha Beach Post by: *DAMN Mauti on July 20, 2001, 03:08:35 am Well the latest Omaha Beach Version doesn't have a single player mission at all! Download Lord Odin's Omaha Beach Mission to play it in single player under the custom mission menu. But notice that you need the WW2 Weapons mod to play these missions!
Bye, Mauti Title: Re: Help starting Omaha Beach Post by: Black Sheep on July 20, 2001, 04:52:09 am oh while youre here mauti, (hehe)
i tried playing the mission but it was extreemly sketchy, like a bad case of lag, which rendered(fancy word usage) it almost unplayable. any thoughts? also whats up with the impassible barbwire in the middle? the only way i got past was at the very edge of the map. thx mauti! Title: Re: Help starting Omaha Beach Post by: SiGmA_X on July 20, 2001, 11:12:42 am WWII weapons? Well, I put the downloaded file into the mods folder in the RS folder (as per the instructions), then I did activate both the map and the weapons in the mod section of the options screen, however only the weapons were available and not the Omaha beach map, I checked all the game types in the custom mission section to no avail.... Title: Re: Help starting Omaha Beach Post by: *DAMN Mauti on July 21, 2001, 01:25:58 pm Well but you didn't download Lord Odins Beach Missions which are also required to play Omaha Beach. Black the reason why the framerate is so low is that the RS engine wasn't created for outdoor maps because the engine always tries to load all textures of a room at once and the whole Omaha Beach map was made as one room!
