Well guys.....apparently I'm banned from GR for....oh...get this...a whole 7 days! ?good lord!! ?....Like i was gonna be on it....i have finals. ?

Now...who wants to hear a story? ?Good.....here goes.
On day Postal Worker was walking along in the GR Chatroom when he came upon someone asking him a question. ?Now...this question was a magical question, and it was "Does Rogue Spear crash alot? ?is it worth a buy?" ?Now...unbeknowest to Postal...it is illegal to mention the word "burn" in the chatroom. ?He was suspended because he said "Ehh...its ok. ?Its worth a buy in ?my book....or get one of your friends to burn a copy for you." ?
Then, in a puff of pink smoke....the fairy Evill decened from the clouds. ?He spoke in a squeeky voice and said "I banish you for 30min for pirating." ?Postal Worker was stunned to find the meer mention would result in a ban. ?He knows that people get banned all the time from GR, but didnt think he'd get it over something so trivial. ?30min passes and Postal trys to return to his beloved GR only to find he has 59min of suspension left! ?(someone explain to me how 30min is extended into an hour if i didnt do anything?) ?Good heavens. ?He was shocked at the very idea. ?
He then passes this time by going off to the mystical land of UT. ?Free from the communists. ?He comes back and speaks his case to Evill the fairy. ?The fairy declares that the ban was just and fair. ?Postal complains that there was no reason to give him an extra hour ban. ?Evill the fairy then calls Postal a Pirate. ?Postal cannot understand this. ?Just because he mentioned the word "burn" he is banned. ?Postal then makes a brilliant statement. ?He says, "If someone speaks of murder, then in turn they are a murderer? ?I dont understand. ?Please explain" ?But Evill refuses to (because he is a dickslit) and then bans the mighty warrior Postal Worker for 7 days. ?
Wasn't that a scary story? ? Oh...you can come out from under the sheets. ?Its ok. ?The story is over. ?But it was a terrifying tale of repression and unjust treatment. ?

ps- isnt it kinda freaky the way Evill uses really proper english? ?I mea...he uses periods and capitalizes things, and spells things correctly. ?Im scared. ?Hold me.

One day my brother, #BONE EvilEdge, was on GR for awhile. He decides then to take a break for GR for a couple of hours to go do something else. Hours later he wants to go back on GR to play and what's it say when he goes to connect... "ACOUNT SUSPENDED: TIME REMAINING: INDEFINITE" Now what is this? How can you be banned from GR when you weren't even on. My brother still can't get on GR ever since this happened, which it happened a month and a half ago. Now how does the fairy Evill bann my brother? A question I went and asked Evill and I got banned for a half an hour. So before I got banned permanetly I just left it go. So tell me how does he bann my brother? A question only Evill can answer, but the funny part is he is too much of a dick to talk to anyone.

postal, first of all u shouldnt be bitchin about ur first ban, hour or half hour notwithstanding... u promoted piracy any way u look at it and that sure as hell merits an hour long ban... for the second ban, i realize that is probably overboard, but u were bitching about getting banned for being a pirate.... if i were evill, i sure as hell woulda banned u the second time, yet not for so long

vap - evill keeps logs of the chat in gr... he probably went back and found something... have ur brother try sending him a polite email, thats probably ur best chance

one day zom@r decides to go over his naughbors. when bored out of his mind Zom@r decides to kick arse on GR when Zom@r logs on he gets the message... Account Suspended: Forever (not exact words). Zom@r yells at naughbor for being an idiot and getting banned. later when Zom@r goes home he logs on and gets the same message... DIE! Zom@r is pissed off at his stupid friend that always is screwing stuff up. Zom@r sents emails to Evill  :P no response after over 9 months of being banned Zom@r is bored and annoyed at Evills stupid bans. Zom@r hears about ways to get back but they all fail

conclusion: my gr currer lasted a while but not enough.... playing skills lost... friends lost... evill... lost in the clouds... by now u are more than sick of me....

Ace...I wasn't complaining that I got banned.  At first I was only asking why my ban went from 30min...(last time i checked it before getting on it was down to 7min)  then i come back and its up to 59min.  I really wanted to know why it was bumped up an extra hour.  If im not on anymore i want to know why i get more time.  It doesnt make sence to me.  Sure, Evill is the boss.  I accept it.  Dont like it, but i accept it.  All i did when i got on there was ask why it was bumped up more...when im not on.  Then he gives me this lecture...practically referring to me as a "serf"  (See Social Status) and he is the lord.  Hmm...I DO use GR and im greatful that he made it...but just because he's boss...i see no reason to just up and do whatever you want to.  If you dont know how to handle people, why even create GR?

Evill can ban anyone two ways. The first is by IP number. The second by account number. All you have to do is get a new account number or a new IP number or both.

Have you even tried talking to him? Most people can get un-banned by talking to him...

I don't know much about macs, but I think I've overheard that he bans some kind of serial number on your ethernet card, or whatever.  That's what I think I heard.
Don't remember, it was a while ago, back in the days where Maul was trying to get back on.

blackhand, there are more ways for evill to ban u than by ip or account number... evill can also ban u by ur ethernet id like buff said, or by a hidden boot file

in other words, to get around a ban u would need to get a new ip, get a new ethernet card, and reformat ur hd... of course, u would also have to not be dumb enuf to try to log into ur old account

GR tracks not only ur gr account, but ur ip as well has ur hardware number, only way to succesfully beat a ban, is to tell ur isp to change ur ip number, then u have to go buy a new motherboard [therefor changin ur hardwarenumber].

hmm i didn't think about a hardware id ban, but seeing as how I've never been banned...

so black hand dont go runing your &**^&$% mouth when u dont know what your talking about! ....pff...newbies....were did they all come from ???  any way evill never checks his emails and there is no other way to contact him unless u have somebody ask why i was banned but that will probaly just get that person banned  :P

I am all for the one time fee thing i know apple is already trying hard to get macs to sell but still. $20 for a lifetime of playing? i thinks its worth it. then maybe evill could afford some counsoling! lol ;D the servers would be fixed (yes i know u hate gr being down) and updates would be abondent. not to mention there would be no idiots (mostly) cuz what newbie thats going to play only 1 day is going to pay? i wouldent.... well if gr was good enough lol jk  ;D
