*DAMN R6 Forum

Alright, I downloaded the mod for UT. ?But it wont install. ?When i try to put it though the UMOD installer, it tells me that the file size is incorrect. ?It says its either corrupt or needs to be decompressed without text translation. ?It also tells me i sould see the README file...but there is none. ?I'm getting pretty pissed now. ?Someone do me a favor....Like you John...where'd you get it and how'd you do it? ?send me an E-mail or something. ?I'd really like to try this mod out...cause frankly...UT by its self kinda sucks. ?And what about that other Mod...TacOps. ?Details about both of these mods would help me. ?Thanks. ? Geez...i hate soundin like a newbie, dont you?

You dont have to be pissed! It works. If it says corrupt just go to your control panels and select File Exchange. And now add two new extensions! Add ".umod" extension and select the UMOD Installer once with "Umod" conversion and then add another extension also ".umod" and select the UMOD Installer again but this time with "****" conversion. Now trash your Inf.umod file and reunzip the downloaded file! Now the file should be appear as text document. Double Click it and your installation will start. This happens to many UT mods so when it happens again simple reunzip the mods again!

Mauti...absolutly NOTHING that i try works.  I downloaded it again...i unziped it again....i changed the prefs in Stufit...arg...im going out of my head here.  Tac Ops wont work and nor will the Infiltration mod.  Every single time i try to move the .umod folder onto the UMOD Installer, it tells me that the file is incorrect  and also that it is corrupt or it needs to be decompressed without text translation. I'm about to give up on this fuckin game.  its not worth it.

hey, it is absolutely worth your time! you just have to open stuffit expander -> preferences -> text translation -> never. because it you activate the text translation, your Umod Installer wont understand the file.

alright alright, for Infiltration mod....Text translation, i did that a while back, but it stll wont work.  Now it tells me to make the memory in the UT folder 5000k  less than...something else.  i dunno.  then onto the Tac Ops game. ?Every time i go to put the .umod file on the application, it gives me an Error 12 and it tells me to save and shut down the computer. ?so...i humor the computer and shut it down. ?come back and i get the same damned message. ?.....I hate computers.

Alright, i got what the Infiltration Mod says when i try to start it.....

"One possible reason is that you do not have enough memory available.  Check to make sure that the preferred memory allowment for Unreal Tournament is 5000k lower than the amount of free memory in your machine."

Yea...i dunno a damned thing about these puters...tell me how to fix it, plz.
