Title: A Question Post by: Silence14 on February 08, 2005, 02:15:59 am I've been interested in this mod since summer. What always amazed me about it was the very high quality looking weapons. My question is, how detailed are the actual models? The skins are amazing, but I've always wanted to see what the raw models look like rendered. Might someone be able to acquiesce my request? I mostly wanted to know, because I am a modeler for two mods, currently(for BF1942 mods, not GR). Thank you.
Title: Re: A Question Post by: Cocobolo on February 08, 2005, 04:48:21 am It depends on which model, but most are pretty detailed with most of the protruding parts modelled on and then textured over. Take a look at the SPR in the Team Mod..texture and model ;)
Title: Re: A Question Post by: Silence14 on February 08, 2005, 04:56:28 am How would I go about viewing that model? I'm not exactly experienced with GR files.
[Edit] I also have to ask what weapon is shown in your signature. It has some interesting features about it. For one thing, it has a folding stock, something that is not common on those of the AR-15 type. I also notice that it has no forward assist. So it's a flat-top AR-15 style carbine with RIS, folding stock, Elcan, Ambidextrous selector switch, A2 grip, and no forward assist. Crazy! This is a great mod team, it's too bad it doesn't get more publicity. You guys rock. Title: Re: A Question Post by: Suicide_Commando on February 15, 2005, 08:09:16 am Couldn't have put it better myself. ;)

I'm talking about the one is Coco's sig. Title: Re: A Question Post by: Suicide_Commando on February 16, 2005, 03:08:18 am Oh, it's a DTD custom job. Coco came up with it. Don't think I've seen an actual weapon quite like it.

Haha, that was an M4 texture from IDF, that mod had the more yellowish looking camo paint. The pic is a omposite of different parts, with some shines, scratches, and other little stuff to make it look worn. There's no forward asssist on the pic (also no ejection port on the right side), but I think more was added to it after this stage for the gun texture. I hadn't planned on making it so I just used what I was working on already, lol. Nice rifle mac ;) |
