*DAMN R6 Forum

I wanted to start a thread debating the pluses and minuses of each game and get a general idea which is perfered.  Personally, I like R6 for its simplicity.  The maps in R6 tend to be smaller with less paths where as RS has many complex maps that are just too much for me.  Anyway, I'll stop now and let the rest of you chime in.

eh, STFU BlackHand. If newbies have nothing good to say dont say anything at all.  :-[

anyway... i feel that R6 is better.

PROs- Great maps like what bondo said,  Mac Users can make map mods, Great Speed, Lags not to bad (usaly), we learned on it, simple keys, we learned on it, ability to play with anyone!

CONs- Dated Graphics (who cares :P), you have to keep switching files if u want to change mods, bugs. (probaly more but i cant think of any)

??? R6: RS
PROs- Updated version of your favorite game, more versiital mods, more guns (can be good or bad), Better AI, more realistic movements, complex maps (can be good or bad),  Snipers, switch mods with ease, more actions!

CONs- MAIN GAME LAG!!!! MULTI PLAYER LAG!!! CANT PLAY WITH PC GAMERS!!! LAG!!! 1/2FPS!!! T3 = LAG!!! RUSHED OUT TO FAST!!! NEEDED A FEW MORE MONTHS DEVELEPMONT!!! GLITCHES!!! NOT DEBUG KEYS = NO NEW MAPS!!! STILL DATED GRAPHICS!!!

Hey Blackhand, if everyone treats the topic with respect there is no need for it to become a flame war.  Ahh, what am I saying, it will be a flame war.

the 2 games are very different in their "how and what to play" but i like both of them :)

r6 ownz rs plain and simple, just ask any vet... rs tries to be flashy and more sophisticated, but it cant compete with the speed and fun of r6... anyone who tries to argue otherwise should first remove their head from their ass

Ace is right, I have tried the game way too many times, and I just can't see how it even compares. R6 just doesn't lag like RS does. If it were to be smoother I would probably give it a 2nd chance, but until someone shows me how that can even work! I am forever yours R6.

Hey all,

first of all i like both games! BUT RS only on a PC or just in single player mode.

For MP games R6 is much better and make more fun.

RS has many interesting and great map, but most are too big for MP Games --> so LAG dominates this game in MP.


R6 has older grafics but also runs faster and smoother that RS, many map avaible, also gun mods if u want more guns. No LAG in general, u can also join games with 56k host without having really big trouble ( i'm on 56k and i know whyt im talking about )

People in r6 games are much more friendly.
AND i know most of  these poeple who are elite and/or are in elite clans, and i like to play with them.

RS Pro: Most *ANGELs*  play only RS now  ???
im the only who still play R6  ::)

ON PC IT'S cool. But dont wanr to say that the PC is better, i love my mac and i like my PC because it was the first computer i get and the first i learned how to use  Comps and  how they work.

Zom@r, you seem to forget that the "newbie" you speak of can only be beaten (consitantly) in r6 by... hold on... i'm thinking... nope.  No ones coming to mind.  Can you? I doubt it.

Personally, i'm an r6 fan.  It runs smoother, and being one who was just introduced to rs, i find r6 a heeluva alot simpler. nearly anyone can host a good game, and it runs pretty smoothly.

Its also nice to know when I play who are the better players... SiX, POD, SEALs, ex-janitors, and jay.  (was Zom@r on that list? nope? i guess I missed him)

BTW what every happened to SkyDog and the other members of SF after they disbanded? mewse changed names and went to POD, sbd is around some but there were a bunch more.

Just a little clarification:

Zom@r, Ive never actually played you, so I really can't make a judgement call, but you still shouldn't call the best players on gr newbies.

Also, the ex-janitors arn't ACTUALLY that good; most of them don't even play anymore. ?I just like to add them, cause, well, I AM MR. SPARKLE, THE HARSH NEMISIS OF ALL THAT IS UNCLEAN!

And fuck you blackhand.  Why couldn't be happy with your teeth?  JUST LEAVE THEM BE, so I can play r6 and rs, and n64 again.

1. People who claim for themselves "being one of the BEST r6 players" on GR will NEVER reach any fame there. No real vet acts like that.
2. Zomar was banned from gameranger LONG before someone other(!) showed his nose there
3. not being loong on GR doesnt mean not being a GR vet anymore. and big mouthing will not make a vet outta a bigmouth ;)
4. i suggest: swap ur IP numbers and make it out. maybe let join a "Guest" who shoots some PICTS so we all will know about the outcome.
5. Beware of Zomar. He was among the really best.

1. Was roy sticking up for me? I can talk for myself, well, no I can't, seeing as how my wisdom teeth were recently pulled, but I can type for myself, wait no, I can't do that either.

No Bander isn't Bondo. Bondo is a member of *DAMN. He joined us in July 2000 and he was a former SEED.

Hmmm.  not nearly the amount of Roy-bashing i expected, especially from blackhand and Zomar.  i guess I'll have to wait longer.

Also, I never said that I was any good bander. In fact, losing has been a chronic problem for me. I've been trying to change that for a while now, but with little success, especially in rs.

zomar, u called blackhand a newbie.. two of the most common determinations of that can be account number and playing ability... if someone is better than u, its usually not a good idea to call em a newbie... i included the reference to my account number being older than yours because i wanted to show u that depending on how u look at it, u could be seen as the newbie (wrath ill beat ur ass if u post ur account number and call me a newbie)... i dont remember the games we played earlier, but i just got out of a few games where i played pretty well (just ask loud - im gonna catch wrath and his 52 no prob)

i just went back and looked at all of blackhands posts after reading ur "rambo" comment... the only thing he did was call u out for being a non-sensical idiot (doesnt seem so far out of line....)

As for being a gr newbie, yup my account number is higher than yours. Yes, I've only been playing on gr for about, I'd say 7-8 months. Does that make me a newbie... nope.

I said one thing that was incorrect, that you could only get ip banned or account banned. Like I said in a follow up post, I didn't even think about a hardware ban. I was man enough to admit I had made a mistake. You on the other hand just go around saying whatever comes out of yyour mouth, regardless of how idiotic it sounds and when some points out you?re wrong, you reply with ?whip of my g36k.? Sounds like a man to me...

I don't brag about how good I am, but I will say this, and this will be the only time anyone will ever here it. I am good. Having played with a lot of different people, I've kept track of the people who could consistently beat me, the list is quite short, in fact, currently there are only 2 names on it. One of those names, I haven?t played in a while and who knopws, I might be about even with him now.

I'm not saying I'm the best, but I am saying that I can hang in there with the best of them.

So say what you will and if need be, I'll get my 9 year old brother to try to decifer your ramblings, because frankly, no one really understands them. They are exactly the type of pre-pubescent crap that I would expect from someone who got his ass banned permanately, probably for being a jack-ass, just what you are acting like right now.

Catching up to Wrath.. I stopped doing that as it is quite silly - it's basically bragging to the world how many kills you have. I was also tired of EVERYONE asking me what the number was.. Ace also made me feel bad by calling me a newbie and how I should have 50 kills per hour. I'M SICK DARN IT! I slept for most of yesterday! When I was up, I wasn't playing that well! bah... :)

black you dont even know why i was banned. i logged on at a friends house. he was banned and i was unaware of this. im not in the mood to start a friggan war here...

I don't know about you all but I don't have a list like that because I'm one of the most inconsistent players on GR.  There are some days when I'm just awesome and even some old vets can't beat me.  But most of the time I'm kinda pitiful.  So in truth no one always beats me, but there are several dozen who beat me most of the time  ;)

loud everyone has their fair share of off days, but what I meant was that of all the players I've played with, I can only remember two consistenting beating me. One was Rogue, who i haven't played in ages, and the other wasn't punisher, I haven't played with him a lot, instead it was some guy named "|RAIN| wang." Come to think of it, he hasn't been on in a while either.

Oh and mort, if you notice, I say I was hosted every time I come into a game. I usually then continue on about lag, maps, how god hates me, etc. etc. etc. Lately, I've also got in the habit of tking anyone who camps.

I can't really tell you how good I am (serously) becuase I am often the host.  it causes many a problem.  I know one thing, SEALs or POD in a group.  There is no way i can take out more then one or two on a team.  They have a habit of bending me over, even when I am host.  1 on 1 I usually get too cocky and start fbing, hence the dying.

I guess I'm in a similar situation as Loudnotes, except for my good streaks are slightly more common, so when I go through a slump, it is all the more frustrating.

and for all of your information, especially Wrath, Loudnotes and Zomar (who have all talked to me on AIM) if I am on AIM, I probably can't play r6 or rs.  

At home I have a 56k modem, 32Megs of Ram, original bondi blue iMac.  Gaming in anything more than Warcraft II presents a problem.

Zoma@r, it HAS been 9 monthes or so.  mabye you should give scott a ring and beg for hime to remove your permaban.  he might feel forgiving for a day.

I had my longest conversation with Evill over banning yesterday.  It lasted exactly 2 sentences!  I was amazed that he responded.

But anyway I said

"Evill do you ever remove permabans?"

and he said

"Occasionally I will if I feel like it"


And then he started playing a game so I couldn't talk anymore.  But at least there is hope!  hehe

Loud-- That's shocking that he actually responded to you because whenever I ask him something either he ignores me or tells me to STFU. Which after he tells me to STFU I feel like beating the living shit out of him. ;D
