Okay, first of all, i would like to show u a screenshot [one of the nicest i've seen] of Infiltration for unreal tournament.

This game is prob one of the best realism mods for any game out there that i've seen, anywho, i'm now gonna give u instructions on how to install Infiltration, because i 'm sick of getting 30pms a day on gameranger from people having troubles with inf installation. ?FOLLOW MY DIRECTIONS TO THE "T" AND U SHOULDN'T HAVE ANY PROBS. ?i do warn u that installation of inf is a bit of a tedious process, but once that is complete it's all Butta-Scotch on the other side.

1.) Make sure u install a new copy of full version of Unreal Tournament [and re-label the folder "UT [INF]" ].

2.) Re download the 436utpatch [mac version of course], from www.download.com or someother download center www.tactical-ops.net also has the 436patch there.

3.) install the 436patch

4.) Now, find ur current version of stuffit expander and open it up. go to the preferences. ?find the catagory "Cross Platform" ?and Turn "Mac text conversion" ?to ?"NEVER"

[when downloading ut mods aka. UMODS, u have to make sure mac text conversion is off, because they are pc mods and need to be untouched by mac text conversion.]

5.) Now i'm going to give u the 5 urls to download the 5 files needed to run infiltration. ?after u download the files, DO NOT DEL THE .ZIP FILES AFTER U UNSTUFF THEM. just incase something fucks up u want to have the .zip's in tact. It is best that u use INTERNET EXPLORER 5 as ur browser. the files are......

NOTE**[the downloaded files should be in .zip format on ur desktop, and not say "redir.asp"] if this happens, cancel the download and try again.

6.) After u have downloaded the .zip's, Stuffit Expander should unstuff them, to make sure u unstuff them correctly, u should use the version of stuffit expander that u changed "mactext conversion" to "never".

7.) [INF UMOD INSTALLATION FIRST 4 FILES] now comes the installation of infiltration. to do this, u have to install the UMODs in the same order as u downloaded them. ?to install the UMOD ?, drag and drop the .UMOD file over the UMOD installer located in the UT[INF] folder. ?install 285infiltrationUMOD first, then the 285infiltration Map Pack, then the 285.3 infpatch, then the 285.5 infpatch. [!!it is important that u install them in this order!!]

8.) [MAC LAUNCHER INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS] after u have installed the 4 umod's , then comes the installation of the INF Mac Launcher. to install the Mac Launcher, it is best to read the readme first [also known as the Addendum] . ?Depending on what Graphix Card u have, [if u never bought a vid card for your comp and are using the the card that come with ur Imac/PPC G3/G4, then chance's are U have an ATI graphix card in ur computer] drag and drop the files from either the ATI or 3dFX folders [located in the Mac Launcher folder] to the "UT[INF] SYSTEMS FOLDER". ?then after u do this, copy the "Infiltration" Icon ur "UT[INF] folder". ?

9.) To launch Infiltration, open ur UT[INF] folder and find the "Infiltration" icon, and click . ?(NOTE!!: ?Infiltration takes a while to load, after u click the icon, u will see an infiltration screen flash on ur monitor, then u will see the Unreal screen load [Blue and white loading bar at bottom with 436 at very bottom]. after it loads up , ur screen will be all black with the Infiltration banner accross screen, it will remain that way untill a little message pops up on the bottom of ur screen and says "Esc to begin" . ?press esc ONCE, and it will take u to the infiltration menu screen [which resembles the console on a helecopter] be patient)

10.) If there are Memory problems then try selecting the UT icon in the UT[INF] folder, and increasing the memory.

*if there are anyproblems then chances are u didnt' follow my directions. and or have a shitty comp. and or u are a fool, because i just gave instructions that my grandmother can understand. ?hope everything goes well, and that ur playing inf with us soon. ?

Alright then...I went though all this stuff and it still didn't fix my problem.  Yea...i followed them to the "T" too.  I give up on this damn game.  It isn't worth it.

Postal, this isn't a Troubleshooting guide, if u did infact follow my directions then u wouldn't have anytrouble, cause i've had many a success getting other mac peeps to install inf.   why don't u just go to www.planetunreal.com/infiltration  and email one of the tech supports there, then mb they can handle ur prob.  anywho, i just thought i'd post this cartoon on newbies

That's so mean John.  Take some pity out of your stone heart and learn to appreciate that even you were a newbie once.  (gasp)  Some of those are good questions anyway. :)
