The first Rainbow Six tournament since one done by a clan that I don't even remember what they were called or since Dema's tournament that never managed to do anything..

Regarding the "When will this happen?" question: Most of the matches will take place whenever both players that have been paired are online at the same time. I will be giving them each other's email address so they can contact each other and set up a time to play.

i noticed you wanted location and connection speed. ?If your going to match people up by those, i disapprove. ?I feel that I have the ability to beat several people, but not if you match people up like that for the first rounds. ?The last thing i want is for blackhand to rape me in 5 games. ?oh well. It happens. I probably deserve it. ;D

Speaking of Location, anyone know where jesse lives? the gr location thang seems to think that he lives within a mile of me.  I assume this is a bug, but everyone else seems to register in various parts of the country (e.g. the...pig in utah/idaho region)  

i was curious if anyone knew what the deal was.

i was the one who suggested to wrath that he get everyone's conn and location... that way, he can set up the early rounds so there wont be 56k-56k matches... by the same theory, he wont put any east coast - west coast matches if possible... also, he will kinda do seeding, matching up the better players against the worse players so the best wont face each other till the end if possible

btw, my prediction right now is that we have two 56k seals in the final... i would love to see all u broadband biatchs shut out of the final... hahah

at least you won't have to worry about me being in the final Ace...... :(


Yeah Jesse said he lived near Emerald Isle, which is about 3 hours from my house in Raleigh......that's too close for comfort.

I think it needs to be made clear that this tournament won't be the deceiding factor in who is the best. I can see it now, Loudnotes claiming hes better than rogue because he laster longer. :)

Yeah, Jesse was apparently with 0 miles of me. Loud, at least you can feel somewhat safe seeing as how Jesse is 3 hours away. Now everytime I walk outside I have to be extra careful to make sure somone doesn't jump out of the bushes, knock me over, and start humping my face.

How many games will have to be played between the 2 players to determine the winner of the battle? Just wondering if there are any rules we have to follow as well. Oh and I can't wait to lose, so hurry up... ;)

i'm up against loud and I have the oddest feeling that I'm going to get my ass whooped. I don't know why, but something tells me i'm going to screw up and loud is going to win all 10 games.

is there a losers round? ie, people who lose go up against other losers and determine who is the "best" of the losers. Then you can have the king of the losers play the king of the winners.

Hmmm.. that would be just as much work as the entire tournament.. having to pair up everyone again to find the winner of the losers..

So basically I think blackhand is already trying to psyche me out and make me over-confident and cocky until I play like crap.  Not that he'd have to try too hard to get me to do that....

Wow this is great, you pair me up with the best guy on r6, I love to battle Axid. We always seem to be one on one anyway, so this will be great. He's a great player and I have been a Axid trainee for some time. I have to say he made me what I am today, I don't think I would have reached the level I am today without the games we played. you know you can alternate hosts (he hosts 5 games, you host 5 games) if you like. ?That's probably a good idea for low pingers anyway, as someone else's host could just slow you down.

well i just played my first round game against cybershark and won 6-4... for all my 56k homies out there this victory and a little advice is for u... if u have 56k, DONT PLAY ON A NEUTRAL HOST... playin 5 on each host will guarantee equality, seeing as u will have 5 chances to host these broadband bitches

What I meant to say was that blackhand tought me everything I know about r6....thus he "schooled" me.  Will he beat me in the tourney?  probably.  But he hasn't yet :)

And speaking of seeds, I must have been a 5th, cause i'm playing (SEALs) redbaron. Now I've never played this charecter to my knoledge, but he i've been told he's ace's level.

It should be a good game. I am not naive, stupid, cocky, or good enough to say that I'll beat him. I have a habit of sucking (me in POD, that stll is beyond me.) In fact, (SEALs) Ghost has the frustrating habit of bloodying my anus.

I'd really enjoy beating redBaron for one reason, and one reason only... to show up our beloved ass.

I know I won't make it past the second, or if i'm lucky, third, but if I can take out one SEAL in this sad little tourney, well, the world will be a little better, the days a little brighter, the nights a little safer, and mabye, just mabye, Ace's ego will shrink just a notch or two. ;D

also, i wouldnt say that skippy isnt the 8 seed... im almost dead sure the 1 seed is either ax or macs, and since wrath is setting up the tourney, i could see him given ax the 1 seed pretty easily... well anyways, its both a ridiculously low seed for skippy and a moot point now... skippy won today, thus validating my opinion that his seed sucked (WRATH FUCKED UP... hahahahah)

also, i never said it was wrong to have some bias in ur pickings... i know i would be biased if i ran a tourney, and i dont think giving ax a 1 seed is really all that biased

DAMN IT! I would've had an 8-2 victory if it hadn't been for those crazy shady looking poles in damn. It's ok though, I tought them a lesson or two. Emptied my all of my guns. Boyah!

Well well well,
I sure am glad it's over, Axid is a bad mutha. Im sure somebody out there is glad they won't have to battle him. It was a tough game and went well into over time.
I won on his host 3-2, and he won on my host 3-2. With the score tied 5-5, we addressed the rules for a new host. We took a short break and finally Brewski offered his host. I wasn't to happy with the choice but accepted the offer, we played 2 practice rounds at csl and I won both. Axid was having computer problems or ping problems and we decided to pick a new host, what a night. So we decided to try Bradkingus, his ping was really low for both of us, we had another practice round at csl and Axid won. We both agreed to play on Brad's host. As stated in the rules we did CSL first and Axid won, very swiftly I might add. Then onto Hacienda where we had a HBS war for sometime and I won, score now 6-6, very intense. Finally Athlete's Village where I won. Final Score 7-6. Wrath, im sure it was hard to set this thing up, and it was probably a lot of work. I am not complaining, Axid did not seem to happy with his first round battle being against his apprentice so to speak, he taught me a lot. I don't think it really matters though you guys all know I am fairly new to R6, as well as my clan. We are all newbies, and we are on GameRanger all of the time, trying to better our skills because we love this game. I think you did a great job of setting this up. I do however see Ace's point as well, some of the people  had, well lets just say a less experienced opponent, but theres nothing we can do about it, it's your call. I had a tough battle with Axid none the less, he is in my eyes one of the best I have ever seen, very consistant and so witty, it's hard to beat him. I hope it doen't effect our relations, but I have to move on.

for those of you who have lost in the first round, if i could offer one piece of advice, it would be this: HUMP.

You need to be able to hump people to be sucessful. Its a proven fact.

Maybe there is a better HUMP out there, all I know is that I am having flash backs, like it was vietnam or some shit in there with Axid, he's a fucking machine. I might not be able to HUMP, but I can sure Tea-bag. heh

Mabye this is true.  It may have been an off day (haha, seems like everyday is an off day for me) but you and about every member of **SBR** was killing me, Even on my own host. (People from several states away were telling me they had pings in the 20's! ;D ;D ;D)

Speaking of that, i'll be putting Nixon in his place next time i see him.  He doesnt want to go against me and blackhand, but rather me and gator or me and sniper.  wonder why that is...

well im not sure if the tourney is dead or not, but im still gonna resurrect this post...

today i played my second round match and triomphiantly won vs i roc in a classic battle of good (56k) vs evil (broadband)
